I liked the pass though style connectors and tool. I had never used this style, but it worked great. The kit came with everything you need to makeup a test ethernet cables. The tester was very easy to use and saved me from a connector I wired wrong. I really like the way it trims the excess wire from the connector. This kit makes RJ45 cables easy.

This pass through design really does make it easier to get the conductors all the way in and make sure they are in the right order. It's great. I did find one way to make a mistake, and I'm posting this review in case it will help someone else. If you try to use cat 6 terminators with cat 5 cables, you can get it to crimp, but it will feel a bit loose, and it will not work. The conductors will not seat and will not make a connection. This was incredibly frustrating to me until I figured out what's going on. Cat5 conductors are slightly thinner than cat6 and so they simply cannot be used together. If you don't make this mistake, this system works great! Use cat 5 terminator with cat 5 cable and use cat 6 terminator with cat 6 cable

This is the first time I ever tried to repair cat 5/6 cables so I had bit of a learning curve but I got it to work and now I have a bunch of good patch cables.

Works just as advertised. Very easy to use.
