Extremely bright and a very solid build, feels very high quality, a charge last for a long time and in terms of usability, as an SOS light which somehow I always inadvertently press and flashback the room with a disco instead of pressing the regular power button. Heavy for the size but that brings it back to the build quality. Functionality wise, light up a whole room with the diffuser cap or use it as a regular flashlight with a sliding head that allows you to change the beam focus. I think for some people the SOS light would be a literal life saver but I'd rather it not have that button because I constantly hit it accidentally all the time. Maybe a future revision should put that somewhere you can't possibly accidentally hit it.

Great little flashlight. It's really bright and self explanatory to use. I like it cause of rechargability. It works well as a flashlight and a torch.

I recently purchased the HOTO Flashlight Lite from Amazon, and I must say, this compact and versatile flashlight has exceeded my expectations in terms of performance, convenience, and reliability. First and foremost, the HOTO Flashlight Lite's build quality is exceptional. The flashlight is well-constructed with a sturdy aluminum body that feels durable and robust in hand. The compact size and lightweight design make it perfect for everyday carry or outdoor adventures, fitting comfortably in a pocket or bag without adding unnecessary bulk. The zoomable feature of this flashlight is a standout attribute. With a simple twist of the flashlight's head, I can easily adjust the beam from a wide floodlight for illuminating a large area to a focused spotlight for long-distance visibility. This versatility is incredibly useful in various scenarios, whether it's navigating through dark trails, searching for objects, or conducting outdoor activities. The LED technology utilized in the HOTO Flashlight Lite is impressive. It produces a bright and clear light that illuminates the surroundings effectively. The flashlight offers multiple brightness modes, allowing me to customize the intensity based on my needs, conserving battery life when required. I appreciate how it provides ample illumination for both indoor and outdoor use, ensuring visibility in dark environments. The USB-C rechargeable feature of this flashlight is a game-changer. It eliminates the need for disposable batteries and offers the convenience of easily recharging the flashlight using a USB-C cable. The included battery has a decent lifespan, and the charging time is relatively fast. This eco-friendly and cost-effective aspect is a significant advantage, making it a practical choice for long-term use. In terms of usability, the HOTO Flashlight Lite is user-friendly and intuitive. The on/off switch is conveniently located and easy to operate, even in low-light conditions. The ergonomic design ensures a comfortable grip, and the textured surface adds extra stability, preventing accidental slips. Overall, the HOTO Flashlight Lite is a reliable and versatile companion for various situations. Its compact size, zoomable feature, bright LED light, and USB-C rechargeability make it an ideal choice for everyday carry, outdoor activities, emergency preparedness, and more. I highly recommend the HOTO Flashlight Lite to anyone in need of a dependable and convenient LED flashlight. Update (July 27, 2024): After writing my first review, HOTO reached out to offer a refund or full replacement without needing to return the original item! I opted to give it a second chance, since I really like the brightness, the features, the design, and just about everything else about this flashlight, and they claimed it was a quality control issue. It was a little sketchy that they asked for my name, phone number, & address over Amazon’s messages, which tells you specifically not to share that type of information. I wanted to give them a chance though, so I did anyways, but would have preferred they managed the replacement through Amazon’s services for security reasons. Either way, I tested the new identical flashlight, and the USB connection is much more secure and reliable. It seems like it was designed to be this way ;). New Review: Pretty great! Definitely the best on Amazon for its brightness and features. 1) Good brightness (and HOTO claims a legitimately likely Lumen rating, not 320,000,000 Lumens like most Amazon listings claim). The color is pure white in the center, but I will admit the fringes have a bit of a significant green tint, though I’m not sure how this compares to other flashlights. Definitely a minor thing for me. 2) USB-C (and it works this time) 3) Has actually well-thought-out UX / button controls :) Not dumb buttons/UX, like most cheap flashlights, which typically have one button that cycles through some strobe modes every time you want to turn it on/off, which can get very annoying (and is also not seizure safe). HOTO’s flashlight on the other hand has one main flashlight power button that cycles through solid [off → dim → medium brightness → full brightness→ off] and an additional “SOS”labeled button that cycles through [off → bright strobe → dim SOS flash]. I imagine the reason the SOS flash is dim is to save battery in that mode so it lasts longer. Seems safer to me that way? Maybe? even though it’s not as bright. Idk, I’ve never used that feature on a flashlight before, and I hope I never need to. The LED’s behind the power button also indicate useful information! Green when on (not sure if it changes color when lower battery). Pulsing red when charging & green when done. 4) Smart behavior when charging. To prevent overheating, but still allow some user functionality, it will only allow the dim flashlight mode + the bright strobe & SOS modes. (Disabling med & high brightness). 5) Adjustable focus! Smooth and firm sliding action to adjust the focus. No complaints! 6) Simple design. Nice pop of color on a sleek metal frame, and a perfectly hidden USB-C port! The clip on the back— ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I could take it or leave it lol. It’s fine, but takes up a lot of space for something that’s not removable. The flashlight could easily be 1.5” shorter if not for the clip, but also it looks nice and is functional so… maybe it’s worth it? (Bonus) 7) I don’t use the included diffuser, but it does work pretty well as a lantern in that mode! I don’t like being able to see the bright light source, it hurts my eyes. You can easily toss it and the flashlight will be great on its own. What could be improved? * USB-C PD for faster charging (65W, 30W or even 20W would be a great improvement!) Current charging rate is labeled as 5V 1A (aka 5A). Much slower than it needs to be for this type of battery. * Less tinting on the fringes of the beam. * It would be great to be able to power off directly from the dimer brightness settings (e.g. by pressing + holding the power button). If I’m using the low brightness setting, it’s because I don’t want full brightness! It sucks to have to cycle through the brightest setting just to turn it back off! Old Review: USB-C connector is spotty, but everything else is exactly what I was looking for on paper Love the design, brightness, & adjustable focus. Exactly what I was looking for in a flashlight: USB-C Rechargeable without removing the battery, ~1000 (real) lumens, adjustable focus, and no silly light modes/controls with the button, (like having to strobe the light before turning it off). Unfortunately, the USB-C connection is not secure, and I have to leave the flashlight with the cable in JuuUUUuUUsSSsttttt the right position with the cable torqued a tiny bit to charge reliably. Kinda defeats the purpose of using the all-so-universal USB-C if I have to fool around with the connection to make sure it charges every time.
