FAITAL PRO 3FE25-4 3.5-inch Mid Bass Woofer 4-Ohms Compact Full-Range Loudspeaker Audio Speaker Applications 20 Watts Rms 40 Watts Max

I used a pair of these Faital Pro speakers to replace the woofers in a 17-year old Logitech Squeezebox Boom (SBB) digital streaming media player. The original speakers had both cracked due to age and had been hastily repaired by me about 6 years ago. These speakers were recommended on a Logitech Squeezebox enthusiasts forum. They are pretty much a direct replacement. I was able to install them into the Squeezebox Boom's cabinet without any modifications whatsoever. In my retrofit application, the 4 mounting tabs on these speakers matched up exactly to the mounting points on the SBB's chassis. I was able to use all of the original mounting screws and hardware. The connectors on these new speakers matched the spade connectors inside the SBB perfectly. These Faital Pro speakers might be just a bit shallower overall than the originals, but that was not a problem. I did peel the foam insulator rings from the back of the original speakers and adhered them to the back of these new ones just to prevent any possible vibration against the rear of the cabinet. Granted, I had not heard the sound of the "original" speakers for about 6-years, but the sound quality of these Faital Pro speakers is excellent. For their size they have good bass response and create a very natural sound. I've used them so far to playback podcasts, streaming music, and some of my own MP3 collection. It all sounds very good and it makes me happy to have my Squeezebox Boom back and working with its (near) original rich sound. Overall, I am very impressed with them, especially give the reasonable price. If you are in need of a pair of small but powerful speakers for a similar application, these are definitely worth considering.

Great sounding speaker, plays loud and clean. Excellent efficiency and meshed very well as a center channel with my Morel Tempo Ultra 602 Mk2 components in the front stage. Replaced a crappy little factory center in a 24 Kia Niro. Drops right in if you shave off two of the mounting tabs. Perfect fit. Don’t think you can do much better anywhere near this price. Very neutral, great dispersion and almost zero beaming.

Used as a replacement for a powered speaker that had a failed cone surround. Had to adjust the fit but the speaker is as good as the original if not better in sound. Paper diaphragm, paper dust cap, foam surround. Not that it matters, but maybe it does, speaker is made in Italy.
