Make sure you buy the latest product
I was in need of a new router and wanted to go with a "Mesh" system to provide better coverage in my two-story house. I searched on Amazon and came up with a Linksys Mesh system that got good reviews. I purchased it because the price was in my ballpark $150 range. I received the Mesh unit the next day and began the installation process per their directions. The first indication of an issue was the app they wanted me to download was no longer available. I proceeded with installation nonetheless and met my second concern - the units could not detect my internet connection. I contacted Linksys Tech Support and provided them with the serial number of my unit. The representative notified me that the unit was 7 years old and no longer supported. I said I just bought it and it was wrapped and sold as new. So beware, some sellers are selling old products even though they're "new" - as in never used. I then did further research specifically looking at the date indicated in the specifications section of the listing. I was happy to see this product was released in March of this year. I bought it even though it was $100 more than I wanted to spend. The product came the next day and again was wrapped nicely by Linksys. This time the instructions were very simple. Simply plug in the unit per their instructions and the Mesh system essentially found itself and connected to the internet connection. Since the installation a couple of weeks ago the system has performed very well in both the upstairs and downstairs of my house. The mesh system has extended my previous coverage, allowing for a better internet connection in my garage and front yard. Though I wish it was priced a little less, it is providing me the coverage and reliability that I was after. I also installed the app for better management. I haven't used the app too much yet, but it looks like it will be very helpful if I need to get more control of the network and its access to guests,

150 device connection is wonderful in an automated home.
With a 100-node or more capacity, I think 150, it solved all our automated home problems when we went over 50+ devices, and then guests coming over. It took a free call with Linksys support to get it set up, but it has been fine for months now. Got an extended warranty by registering with Linksys

simple but effective
disclaimer; this review may be subject to change as it has only been a couple days of usage. Pros: Simple UI. Easy to setup. 2024 router model is LN1100 v2 (version 2) and does indeed have pairing button that is not shown in the images here. Does not "require" app. All 3 devices have the SSID and password labeled on the bottom. Custom SSID/password is the first item to fill in the setup wizard. Client at farthest node seems just as fast as at router. Does have DMZ. Does have port-forwarding. Cons: Not for tech-enthusiasts. no SSH. no custom firewall IPv4 entries. Only 2 dynamic DNS providers (Dyn, No-IP). Custom DNS seemed to require mobile device App before i saw the fields in the DHCP service Web UI. WebUI alludes that router-apps (plugins) exist for installation but none cane be found on website. Third party software options do not list this as a compatible hardware, so do not expect to install non-OEM software. Setting a new password requires specific format including dis-allowance of repeated characters (e.g. 547ruggedLunatic would not be allowed due to 2 g's). Maybe no VPN -- not checked yet, but do not remember seeing it in UI. Additional: The UI on this router is the same as the MX5300 demo UI on their website, but without external storage tab. The WebUI is "Linksys Smart Wifi" by Belkin. The MAC address reports as Belkin. After months of usage, i have found the satellites to disconnect just often enough to be annoying, as our TV's are then disrupted. I have not yet tried any bandwidth shaping above the included Priority list which is already set for out TV's. Throughput is very good on these devices, so i do not know the issue. maybe they get hot and shut down, but i am uncertain.

Poor System. Not Ready for Primetime. No Customer Service.
I hate to have to make this type of post. However, I work from home a significant period of time. I purchased a Linksys Multi-gig Micro Mesh WiFi 6 System from Amazon. Just after the return period, the child nodes would drop, and at most inconvenient times when leading calls. The mesh system wasn't seamless, so as the nodes fell off, the computer would stay attached to that node, which would kick me off calls with no way to change which node the computer was connected. This is aggravating at best, embarassing at worst, and creates inability for function. In September, I made my first contact with Linksys. It is now November. I've had multiple calls and hours of time where Linksys reps have worked on the system. Since "updating" the system, I've not completely lost a node and now the parent node gives no indicating light system. It's now been over a week since my last connection with Linksys and there seems to be no resolution. At this point, I can only conclude that Linksys has no intention of ever honoring their 1 year warranty on this system. Therefore, I can only recommend for those who work from home to stay away from Linksys routers due to unreliability and lack of good customer service when issues arise.

Best router setup we've had.
This is the best router we've owned. The speeds we get are way faster than the routers we've have in the past. The little nodes make it so the thick walls of our house no longer limit our wifi speeds, slow down our movie streams and the linksys app make setting it up as simple as it gets. Online games havent run this smooth ever so if thats what you're looking for this is a good choice as well.

Long term failure
This product setup was okay. Boasts no app but would recommend the optional one. It’s a decent app. Good coverage and works. However after 9 months of use with ~20-40 devices I started having significant drops in performance on WiFi but not Ethernet. I did all the typical tests, disconnected devices, changed channel, etc. eventually I noticed excessive heat build up on the device which is placed in a well ventilated area with a hard non heat holding surface (satellites are even suspended in air). I assume excessive heat build up has in some way negatively affected performance. After unplugging and leaving to cool for an hour it then performed well after boot. However the next day the issues renewed. It claims 100+ devices but I think that may be beyond its actual capabilities. Buy only if you have a less connected WiFi home with a large area

Easy installation
So easy to install. I just hope it lasts as long as my last lynksis router. Old one was still working after 10 years we just wanted to upgrade and have farther coverage.
