Durable and ready for travel
This bag is not your typical roller bag, it has a rugged build to it, larger then normal wheels for uneven surfaces or cobble stone, a soft weather resistant front with straps, and a rugged handle for an additional carrying bag. I travel a lot, from planes, to cars, to cruise ships to trains, all which require a bag that can be rolled, lifted, stuffed, and survive some abusive luggage handlers. I marry the Allpa 38L roller bag with the Allpa 28L back pack. I like to carry on as much as possible, and this bag allows me to pack up to 2-3 weeks of clothing without checking in a bag at the airport (Allpa 28L is my personal item I carry on too). The Allpa 38L has a clam shell opening, with 2 internal mesh zipper compartments. The main side is a full access that you can pack easily 2 weeks of clothing with no issues. I was even able to pack my cotopaxi 24L day bag flat in the main compartment and still have 2 weeks of clothing room. The other side is a 3/4 access which for its size allows more clothes or shoes or packable jacket or all. In total there are 2 zipper access compartments, one front 1/4 compartment for toiletry bag, or 3L travel bag, and the main clam shell compartment which I have explained. My travel needs I normally pack around 40-60L or stuff, depending on the season of my travel. I will normally have a hip bag (3L), a back pack 28-30L, and a roller bag (40-50L). All this I can carry on a plane, or negotiate steps, all types of obstacles like people in airports or on cruise ships. My mentality is is if cant carry it, I don't need it. The roller bag is about 4-5lbs unpacked, mainly because of it durability in construction, but its not the lightest bag. However, considering I have a travel pro light, the amount of abuse I can give the Allpa 38L is far more than the travel pro. Also the Allpa can pack more in the same like size travel pro. I will say the esthetic of the Allpa is more "rugged traveler" than sophisticated, but that is actually my esthetic. The over all construction is superb, YKK color coded zippers, and an outer material that will take the weather and abuse, with minor scratches.

Nice. Would be better with 4 wheels.
Very nice, but the front pocket makes it difficult to zip the main compartment even if it isn’t even full. 4 wheels would be nice.

Great Bag
Took this bag to Colombia. Went through 6 airports and 6 uber rides. Got home after traveling for 2 weeks straight and still good as new. The front cover scratched up after but not a concern because its just normal wear from being thrown around. It was pouring rain when i was leaving and threw the bag in the car. When i got to the airport i just dropped the bag off and never checked it. When i got home after my trip, everything was still dry. So far so good

Spendy but very nice bag
This bag is very nice and feels very solid and well built, and has a very classy yet rugged feel to it. The zippers all move easily and smoothly, and the telescoping handle extends and retracts very smoothly without binding as well. The wheels also roll easily and smoothly and seem to be very high quality. The tag that comes with it talks about packing for a weekend, and this is about the right size for that. I used it the first time for a longer trip, and I had it overpacked a bit but it held up well. The second time I also packed about seven days worth of clothes and it did well. This is the right size for European travel if you go by air because their carry-on restrictions a a little bit tighter, only allowing slightly smaller bags in the cabin, and this fits that bill nicely. The rubber outer shell sheds water nicely, and while I wouldn't want to submerge this thing, I don't think you would have to worry about anything getting wet in here if it was outside in a downpour. The clamshell design lets you pack things in both sides and that worked well for me, putting clothes in one side and a pair of shoes and other items in the other side. There is a pocket that is accessible from the outside at the top, and the does take away part of the inside space on that half, but it still leaves plenty of room packing. I don't think I would want to check this bag with the airlines as they can sometimes be tough on bags, and while the outer shell seems pretty durable, I wouldn't want to chance it as it seems like you could puncture it with a sharp object. But, I think this is meant to be carry-on sized anyhow, so this really is a nice bag. Well sized to be easy to carry yet be able to fit a few days worth of clothes in. The price point is a bit high, but the quality seems to be there to support that price. I'm very happy with this bag after a couple of uses.
