Works as expected
The lights come with little transparent clips that you attach to the back of your pc with command strips, and then the light strips snap into the clips. The lights are fully customizable with the app, though the app did take some exploration to figure out how to get just two colors without movement as I wanted. The lights don't turn on until the app is installed and a color scheme is chosen so don't freak out if they don't immediately light up after plugging in the USB. I did feel like the cord in between the strips is quite stiff and seemed a tad too large even though my screen size is within the range, but I made it work. Made me wonder whether they were measuring the screens actual width or going by the diagonal measurement the manufacturers use. The cord isn't super long so if your pc tower isn't fairly close to your monitor you might want to get a female to male USB extender. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Great lights
Fantastic lights, amazing for movies and gaming. Very bright and color is vivid. LEDs update very quickly to reflect what's on the screen. Even though others say the skydimo software is fine, I chose to use HyperHDR (open-source LED control software) instead, which has support for skydimo leds.

Only compatible with CPU download for device use
This is only compatible if you download an app on your CPU; why can’t you also download it on your phone? I am really unhappy and was super excited to use this product but unable to because I cannot download an additional app on my private computer.

This is the cheapest and easiest screen-synchronized lighting option.
This is probably 3-star performance in comparison to Luciferin aka Glowworm or Philips Hue-tier lighting performance, which for me has been the best performing screen synchronized lighting. This has a locked refresh rate i think and it causes a little bit of strobe effect when your lights need to change colors rapidly, but it's totally serviceable considering the price and ease of use. It's not as choppy as some of the DIY ones. The only DIY one i've liked is Luciferin and it's fantastic, but it's pretty complex and has a lot of failure points. With this, it's just plug and play to get them to come on. The software is shockingly not horrible. I'm pretty happy with the software, but i do hope it's improved. I don't expect it though. This is the cheapest screen synchronized lighting and it requires the lease amount of effort. So it performs kind of beautifully, considering that. I expected it to be very buggy and, having gone the Luciferin route first, i was really shocked at how easy this is. You literally just plug it in and they come on, but they do whatever they want until you install the software. The app is very lightweight. It's crashed in the background for me once in almost two weeks. The software appears to allow you to control several of these (and maybe other) products and the configuration has options for you to choose among several monitors. I don't know if this software is capable of capturing multiple screens simultaneously and fully operating more than one of these strips, but it appears to have all the necessary plumbing, which makes it potentially very attractive. Most of the DIY options will allow you to run multiple strips, but their homebrew software doesn't have any options for working on more than one monitor. I think you have to jump from the cheapest option (this) all the way past all the other budget options before you will have dual monitor support built into one app. Keep in mind i don't know if this will capture two screens without buying a second strip, but it appears they've at least been planning on exactly that. i don't know what the pigtail male usb 2 connector is for yet. UPDATE: i just realized that whenever i'm in a fullscreen game, this software stops capturing the monitor and the lights just hang on whatever was on screen when the fullscreen application launched. They stay static like that until i quit the game. So that kind of defeats the whole purpose. It doesn't do it with fullscreen video files.

Easy to setup and use
Works really well, software is easy to use. I even have multiple monitors and it was easy to select the monitor to mirror for the lights.

While the installation is quite easy (i spent a little over 5 minutes to install everything in place), the product is not as good in reality. There is a lot of times when the lights are flashing just random colors out of nowhere, and the color change is not smooth at all (specifically monitor sync). Might be good for watching a movie, everything will be more smooth, but definitely not worth getting if you plan on playing games

Works well, does what i wanted it to. It adds light to the back of my monitor and it does it well. The app works effectively. The cable for this is far too short though, and if you intend to manage your cables in any capacity it is almost necessary that you also buy a USB extender.
