SO nice. Now the equipment that was in my tank stays clean. Recommend mounting small powerhead inside to keep accumulation on floor of sump. Skimmer is a monster. Super effective.

Super happy with this, arrived well packed and so far has been running very well, i know there was some complaint of it being very noisy but that has not been my experience.

Is there a way to adjust the amount of foam or bubbles? Got is primed but it fills the cup to overflowing within a minute. I would suggest supplying some stick-on foam to put between the body of the filter and the tank so it does not vibrate against the tank.

Best hang on skimmer for the price hands down. Perfect on my 40b reef.

Arrived with broken parts from the protein skimmer

This is a fantastic option for a smallish reef tank 40-60 gallons where a sump isn’t a good option. I’ve been running one on my 60g cube for about 18 months and the skimmer works nice and steady, and combined with macro algae in the refugium just about bottoms out my nutrients. I did add an air control valve to the protein skimmer air inlet and it’s been much easier to dial it in.

I’ve had this for about a year and initially loved it. Had no issues with setup, priming or tuning. Recently, however, after a power loss I reconnected it and it is no longer priming properly. Inserting the priming tube into the water will clear out the air and cause water to flow out over the sponge as intended, but the second I remove the air hose from the water it immediately un-primes, the water drops out of the I take tube, it fills with air and can no longer pull up water. I can’t find a way to contact the seller through Amazon anymore. Considering this cost over $250, I’m pretty upset. I don’t have $200+ laying around to drop on a new skimmer right now.
