Tips I learned for using the gel nail strips. LOVE THEM!!
UPDATE AFTER TWO WEEKS! As you can see by the second photo my nails still look great. This is after cooking and washing a lot of dishes and pots and pans!! Had a compliment yesterday that my nail were beautiful. The lady was surprised to hear they were Gel Nail Strips. I am thrilled to know I can save $50-60 a month by using these and still have my nails looking beautiful. ORIGINAL REVIEW I am very impressed. These gel nail strips work very well. This photo is after they were on for a week. As you can see there are no chips or pulling away from the nail. I cook a lot and my hands spend a lot of time in dishwater. I even had to scrub a pan after letting some beef stew scorch. I do not like wearing gloves so my hands were bare in the dishwater. The nail strips were not difficult to apply. Since it was my first time to use them, I did learn a few tips to make it easier and more like a salon manicure. First, make sure your nails on both hands are all the same length. Mine were a little shorter on my left hand than my right and it shows. Second, use a cuticle remover to soften your cuticles and gently push your cuticles back all around the nail so the nail strip will slip under the cuticle. Be sure you wash your hands with soap and water and use the alcohol pad so the strip will properly adhere to your nail. Before I removed the nail strip backing, I held it over my nail to make sure I had the proper size. Once you have the strip properly centered on your nail and right up against the cuticle (I had to carefully remove a couple and recenter it) use the wood stick to smooth it out all along the edges. I also smoothed and rubbed it with my finger to make sure it adhered properly. Use a pair very small sharp scissors and trim the excess off the nail leaving about one-eighth inch. Then press and rub the excess down around and under the nail. That made it easier to gently file the excess off. After using the UV light for 90 seconds, my nails were done to perfection and I saved a ton of money and a lot of time using the nail strips. I am going to give the gel strips for toes next. Good luck!!

SUPER CUTE
They're very nice they harden well, they also keep their shape, I put some on with out a very thin gel base and they got stuck on nicely but I also did a few nails with a think gel coat under and those stayed on as well! The colors are nice and vibrant!! Very easy to handle, but I would definitely recommend a clear top coat on top!

May cause nail separation!
They looked really nice (I had the French tip style), but when they came off about 2.5 weeks later my nail was severely damaged. Prior to using this product I had no nail separation. This one nail is clearly not in good condition. I found a good YouTube video from a nail expert that explained how to treat nail separation, so if you experience this I recommend looking that up. It is possible that this gel nail product has strong chemicals and it may be that the chemicals penetrated the nail bed, which could be the problem here. Apparently if you can’t get your nail to reattach in a timely fashion, it may be a permanent condition. I will have to watch it closely to be sure there is no fungal infection, steer clear of allowing this nail to become and stay moist, and also avoid nail polish for months to heal this nail. This will not be fun. I will not be using these semi cured gel nails again obviously. Once my nail heels (likely months from now) I will go back the powder dip nail kit, as it was working fine for me overall. Hope this helps someone!

Good But Not Perfect – Mixed Feelings!
I really wanted to love these semi-cured nail strips because the idea of an easy, salon-quality manicure at home is super appealing. And while they do have some great qualities, there were a few things that left me a little disappointed. First, the pros: The designs are gorgeous, and the strips themselves are flexible and easy to apply. I love that they have that real gel look without the mess of liquid polish. Once cured under the lamp, they feel sturdy and glossy, just like a fresh gel manicure. Plus, no dry time—huge win! Now, the cons: I found that the edges didn’t always fully adhere, no matter how much I pressed them down or how carefully I applied them. After just a couple of days, I noticed some lifting, which was frustrating. Also, removal wasn’t as easy as I expected—they claim to peel off gently, but mine left behind some residue and made my nails feel a little weak. Overall, they’re a fun alternative to salon gel manicures, but they’re not quite as long-lasting as I’d hoped. If you’re okay with a shorter wear time (maybe 4-5 days max) and don’t mind a little extra effort in application and removal, they’re worth trying. But for me, they didn’t quite live up to the hype. Would I repurchase? Maybe—but only if they improve the adhesion! 💅✨
