This is a great hammock! It is smartly designed with very few pieces and, besides the frame, seem to likely be things that can be bought after market should they be lost or damaged. One of the smartest things was putting the instruction diagram on the bag itself. The hammock itself is a very soft and comfortable cotton. I do not keep it outside since it is quick to set up and pack away, although it is sturdy enough it can probably be kept up for extended periods, but I am not sure how long the fabric and ropes could stand up to the sun. For the price this cannot be beat! Would definitely recommend for someone looking for a comfortable hammock, especially with a more traditional design (doesn’t have the bars at the top and bottom) that isn’t a camping hammock and comes with a frame!

This hammock and the seller are excellent. First, the hammock. I grew up on "American" hammocks (the design with the wooden spreader bar at each end) so I was a bit dubious of this design. But after some research and realizing that pretty much the rest of world uses this design (and often as their primary sleeping location) I decided to give it a try. I absolutely love it! It is amazingly comfortable and very cozy. But it might not be for everyone. The American design lays much flatter (and is also much easier to flip out of) and allows one to lay there while socializing with others nearby. This hammock envelops you in a cocoon or perhaps cradle-like environment. I find the latter very comfortable and a great way to relax. But if socializing with others while using the hammock is your goal, this might not be the best choice. Also, this style is a little harder to get out of. It is not bad (I am a middle aged out of shape person and have little problem) but I can imagine that an elderly person or someone with certain physical limitations may have an issue. And finally, this is advertised as a double hammock. But its design means that both people sort of sag to the middle. This can be very nice and intimate or it may feel crowded. It depends on your goals. If those caveats are not a problem for you then otherwise this hammock is excellent. The hammock itself appears to be excellent quality material and I think the frame will last for many, many years (perhaps longer than me with care). The entire setup is super easy to setup and breakdown and the carrying bag means this is something I can easily travel with (camping, beach trip, or just visiting someone without a guest room?)Now for the seller. They have been wonderful to deal with. Within hours after ordering the seller contacted me to tell me that the specific color I ordered was not available. They told me they only had one left in the warehouse and upon inspection it was damaged. They gave me the option of a refund, back order, or choosing another color. I know from painful experience that many sellers would have simply sent the damaged product anyway (either because they didn't pay attention or just didn't care). I was thankful for this seller's quick and honest communication. After choosing another color I received my hammock quickly, it was well packaged and damage free.Interestingly, I ended up receiving the color I originally asked for. I guess they worked to find a solution to the problem I inspected the product in great detail and found not even the slightest flaw. I could not be any more pleased with my experience with this transaction.

I don't think I've ever been so excited to get something in the mail! Could have been the super long and miserable winter, but I could not WAIT to get this set up. Luckily, setup was a breeze and required no tools whatsoever. Screw about six things in by hand, loop the hammock over the hooks and you're in business. In less than ten minutes, I was enjoying my first hammock ever!Some others mentioned an odor/smell, but I didn't notice anything. I set this up outdoors in about 70 degree weather and didn't notice anything and I'm highly sensitive to smells, esp that new plastic/manufacturing smell.I didn't have any struggles putting the pieces together, either. It was so easy to put together and I truly did appreciate not having to use any tools to screw anything into place.I logged about two hours in the 'mock today and I have to tell you, there's no uncomfortable position. I initially was a little skeptical that I'd like a hammock that was so wide (seeing the hammock 'burrito' pictures some others posted left me curious), but I've found that the wideness can sometimes provide some shade, too. There are so many ways to lie on this and it's just so cozy. I opted for the cotton hammock (color: tropical), and not the sunbrella fabric. The cotton is super soft and durable.I will take the cotton hammock part in the garage when not in use, but will leave the stand in the yard all summer.The hammock and stand seem very well-made. I had no hesitation about moving around in it and getting in and out. This hammock can accommodate up to 450 lbs. I had my boyfriend join me in the hammock, but it was kind-of cramped and, as he said, "it's not my thing". Pffft - more hammock for me!The hammock and stand come with a carrying case, too. I don't imagine I'll be transporting my hammock any where, but it does indeed break down easily and fits in a very nice little bag if you want to hammock somewhere else. Nice addition.So far, I'm very impressed! I'll update this review at the end of the season and note any flaws or issues, if applicable. For $130 (as of this writing), I'm very happy and look forward to wasting away the summer in this!
