It's very high quality and very well designed.
I bought this for my house that has a flat concrete roof with nothing to hold onto as you transfer onto it from a ladder. This came exactly as pictured and fit perfectly in the space where I had planned to install it based on the description measurements. We followed the instructions and had no issues. It works perfectly and is very high quality. I'd buy another in an instant if I needed another one. Ilt makes what was hard and dangerous before, fun.

Better than I thought it might be.
There were a few quirks with the install. It came with concrete anchors ,so I bought 8 3/8 lags to mount on my wall. When putting the longer hand bars on I found they did not match the holes as they were a wee bit over bent....careful here ...don't bend them back when partially attached as it will bend the mounting plate. Take them off and bend them and match them to the holes. Also when finally attached and the unit is hung these fasteners are not accessible so I added locking washers. they were not in the kit. Where the unit attaches at the top I made four bushing/spacer so they didn't wobble about. I installed it by myself and the instructions were a lot better than I was expecting. For the price it solved my problem and I don't regret buying them.......yet if ever :-)

Decent but much to consider FIRST.
So I'm giving a middle rating for a few reasons... We ordered this based on the video and description and another buyer and his pics. We purchased it and it came ok despite the box being damaged due to open space in the box, but all was fine there. It really takes THREE decent strength folks to install this. Instructions were not 100% but not bad either. READ and LOOK them over more than once to start, and as you go. We were hanging our stairs on the side of our house from the facia overhang, so we had to improvise a bit. We had to build a frame to mount on and add support legs to the house. Cumbersome, but not horrible. Overall the side handles mounting went well as did most of the stair mounting. OUR main issue on OUR end since what we were mounting it too has a slight slant to it...so instead of perfectly up and down it slants back toward the house...BUT, the item has adjustments on the side arms...unfortunately they only adjust BACK and now outward...so we left those arms off...and those help lift the ladder up and down. So it's harder to put up and down...but not a huge issue if you have a bit of strength. The other issue tho was with the pull out of the stairs...it looks like you can pull them out further to make more stair like instead of more ladder like...but as you pull it out further (where it would be much easier to walk up like a staircase) then the welded footplates aim down and are too angled to stand on...so we had to pull it back toward the mount to safely climb the stairs...It would be nice if it could pull OUT further to use as a stair better. The video and pics make it LOOK like it is able to pull out further than it does and work that way...but again, not the end of the world, but you don't KNOW this until you install it all. Finally the railings at the top LOOK like they will be high and great for just walking up onto the roof...but they are still quite short so the transition at the top is still a bit scary. We are pondering adding some more railings to the roof edge. But, we did USE the stairs and they were better than an old style ladder, so we are overall pleased with the purchase. Just those little things that you don't know until you go to install it might make a difference in purchasing an expensive item. Knowing what I know now would I purchase again...yes AND no...it would depend on my options. If you can build a REAL staircase, do that instead...if not, this might be fine for you also. But keep in mind that you WILL need a frame built with supports if this is NOT to be installed on a wall. And you'll need at LEAST three to install it safely. You'll also need several kinds of tools to install. And keep track of WHICH screws and bolts come out of which area as they are NOT the same. We put them in small zip locks with a note when we took them out as not to confuse them. Hope that all helps.

Sturdy & Space-Saving Attic Ladder
As a consumer, I'm quite satisfied with my overall experience using this wall-mounted folding loft staircase. I give it four stars mainly because of its sturdy structure, space-saving design, and significantly safer use than traditional loft staircases. The product itself is made of thick, high-strength aluminum alloy, making it very stable when unfolded, without wobbling. Its load-bearing capacity is also excellent, making climbing up and down safe. The folding design saves a lot of space; when not in use, it simply pushes up to retract, without affecting room usage or taking up as much space as a regular ladder. The extension mechanism has good damping, allowing for one-handed operation, and the handrail design greatly enhances safety, making it safer for the elderly or children. However, I deducted one star mainly because installation wasn't easy. It requires precise measurements and precise bracket placement, which might take longer for those unfamiliar with installation. It's best to have two people install it together for a smoother process. Once installed, it's very convenient to use, unfolding smoothly every time. Overall, this folding loft staircase offers high value for money, is sturdy and durable, and has a clean and neat appearance, making it ideal for people who frequently need to access lofts, storage rooms, or rooftops. If you want to save space and need a sturdy attic staircase, this one is definitely worth considering.

Great Quality, Easy to Install
I installed these steps by myself without any issues (67 yr old male). Before they arrived, I built the support wall based on the measurements provided in the description. Hand rails were easy to install with clear instructions.
