Better than book 1 - I know a ton of people didn’t love book 1, but I did. I actually liked this book even more. It felt like the overall plot thickened, and we got even more character depth. I know I am a sucker for a complex story with lots of layers, and I felt that’s what was happening here. I will say the ending did have me going “what? Wait?! What??” I know some people might feel like it’s too much, but for me it’s perfect. I get bored when a romantasy is too simple. Also I love the angsty relationship between Nyte and Astraea. This book did throw a lot of things out of left field, so it helped it not be predictable. The book has a LOT happening so you stay entertained the entire time. I listened to the audiobook while reading my physical copy, and honestly I adore the narrator’s voice. It’s sooo smooth on Nyte. I absolutely love it, and it’s a duet!! Makes the reading experience so much better. Highly recommend the audiobooks for this series. This fantasy romance is book 2 in the Nytefall Trilogy. The romance in this book is a fate bond. The book is quite spicy with several spicy scenes that are open door. Astraea finally knows who she is, and truths that accompany that information. Nyte and Astraea have to control the vampires while she learns to control her powers. When trying to prevent the past from repeating itself Astraea struggles without her memory, taking steps without Nyte’s knowledge. Nyte knows with him at her side the world will be destroyed, he just isn’t sure he can let her go. This is a thrilling, and addictive romantasy. Review: Great sequel! - Book two of the Nytefall Trilogy. Astraea is recovering more of her memories while trying to figure out her place in the celestial world and more importantly her relationship with Nyte. Well, he shines even more in this installment and completely carries the story. I loved seeing the person behind the monster and how the author fleshes out the devastation done to and by someone who has been made into a weapon. Atraea, she got on my nerves being wishy washy at times but when she shines she absolutely shines. Her ability to embody fairness and justice and choosing to listen to people vs judging was very well done. A new character was introduced and I absolutely cannot *stand* him!! The stakes were higher, the heat turned up and the yearning was on point. The memories of Nyte and Astraea’s relationship beginning built up so well from enemies to reluctant allies to bonded and I must say, when one enemy is wounded and goes to the other enemy bc “they didn’t know where else to go” 🫠*chefs kiss.* Overall it was a good read and I will continue onto the final book.

Meh sorry
I’m including book 1 and 2 in my review. Book one was interesting but Astraea character was so annoying. Playing to be the victim and the empowered woman at the same time. Every time she needed to do some Would do the opposite. Also, there wasn’t much background to believe that Cassia was her best friend ever. The book just explain that they have been friends for years but Astraea was only able to see her like once every 3 weeks? So the story of Astraea suffering for her best friend really was not that believable. Her constant change of mind was really frustrated Nyte was a semi strong character. First book was an ok book and was hesitant to get the second. The second book was a bit of a pain to read, Astraea’s character continued to be annoying until probably 60% of the book and history was getting pretty boring, some readers said they were getting lost with the constant back and forth in the timeline but I didn’t feel that, once thing the author made clear was to make sure you knew when talking about the past and back to the present. The story just stopped being interesting with Astraea’s back and forth with her feeling and always trusting the wrong person. I have to say the story didn’t get interesting until the last 2 chapters, before that, I was skipping pages and felt very sad to do that because I love reading but the first 70% of the book didn’t meet expectations specially after reading so many other books. Sorry to compare but it’s true. I don’t think I’ll be buying the third book unless I ultimately have nothing else to read. But I have the feeling that the third book will be more packed with action, at least I hope so. I mean in book two you keep thinking why Nyte doesn’t share with Astraea how she died? Because if he did, there wouldn’t have been a book 2. The author just had to create a situation to have an excuse to write a second and third book based on a weak reason.

HELLO????
I haven’t had this type of feels for a book since A COURT OF MIST AND FURY!?? the plot twists in this??? The betrayals??? the loss and devastation but also the truths revealed???? I’m at a true loss for words. I loved the romantic push and pull in this but finding out the reasonings had me rolling on the floor hugging my knees 😭 I said I loved book 1 but this blew it out of the waters. Like, I still am in disbelief over this plot. To the author, you should offer therapy for the whiplash. GIVE ME BOOK 3 NOWWW

Beautiful Star-Crossed Lovers Story
"We were stars colliding and night defying." Astraea and Nyte were written in the stars, their love capable to destroy the foundation of their world. Stuck in a cycle in which their story can only end in tragedy. After surviving the libertatem Astrea seeks answers to a past she no longer remembers she finds herself falling ever deeper into her attraction to Nyte but after meeting Auster she begins to question who she should trust. I did not expect to love this book more than book 1. This is a beautifully executed star crossed lovers story that stole my heart. It's stories like these that make me belive in a love eternal, two souls aimlessly traveling the stars until they find each other again in whatever world they fall.
