Extremely happy with these
Great sound, good battery life. I believe the battery case is 800mah while others are 300-400. Only thing some people might not like is the case is on the big side but personally I like it. I also love how comfortable they are even with glasses 🕶️

Better than their other models!
I think these are way better than the other version. I tried the other version, and they didn’t work for me. However, these are more consistent, feel nicer on the ear, and work reasonably well for the price. If you're budgeting, these are great. If you have a bigger budget, I’d suggest spending more to get a better pair. That said, these are not bad! They do work, but I’m told they work better with Android than Apple. However, I am using them with Apple, and these ones are okay.

Unbeatable value for money
I was looking for a set of open ear Bluetooth headphones without a band, that wrapped around the ear so they felt comfortable and wouldn’t fall out in the gym. I’ve tried the market leader bone conduction type but as others have said these broke down after 2 years and the band prevented relaxing back with head resting against something. I have also tried other in ear models but I don’t have a ‘slot’ in my ear to ‘lock’ those types in and the ones that rely on a snug inner ear fit always feel like the bulk on the outside will through gravity or movement eventually make them fall out and risk loss in public environments. These TRUEFREE phones address all these problems and give a great sound for the price. The addition of an app allows you to tweak the equalizer or play white noise if wearing them in noisy office environment. I found the touch sensitive controls a little fiddly and not successfully managed to pause the media from playing with the double tap but that is possibly user error. It would be nice if they could go slightly louder as I have found in louder environments there’s not enough volume to block out louder noises, but this may be a by product of them being open ear anyway.

Budget alternative bone conduction headphones
Setup During the setup process, I found connecting these to my iPhone 15 Pro to be a seamless and efficient process. I have consistently experienced smooth pairing with the headphones on multiple occasions. Battery life I tested these during a lengthy bike ride and was able to use them for an extended period without any battery issues. The inclusion of a charging case with USB C proves to be practical for storage, cleanliness, and ensuring the battery remains charged. I also took several phone calls and was able to hear the other person clearly. Comfort The headphones do not provide a secure fit and are too loose. For those seeking headphones specifically for running, you may want to look at the SHOKZ OpenRun Bone Conduction Sports headphones instead as they offer a better wrap-around design for a more secure fit. I feel Truefree should look at designing these so they fit well to the ear without being loose. Target audience After thorough testing and reflection, it appears that these headphones are designed for individuals who engage in regular physical activity and value the ability to hear their surroundings while enjoying music and taking calls. While bone conduction headphones are an alternative, they can be cost-prohibitive, making these headphones a more accessible option. It is important to note that individuals who prioritize music quality over the need to hear the surrounding environemt may not find these suitable for their needs. Disclaimer: I have been sent this product as a free sample to test and unbox. This has not affected my opinion of the product.

Comfortable, great sound quality, and long lasting battery.
I have had many different kinds of headphones, Over-ear, in-ear, and bone conduction. I found over-ear headphones too restrictive. I've always had issues with in-ear, earbud types because they tend to keep falling out and I lose them. I had moved to bone conduction, but again the volume wasn't great and the sound was muffled. This was a compromise I had to make until the Truefree 01s came along. Oh My God, these are a game changer for me. My daughter got these for me for Christmas and immediately they were superior to other headphones I had used. The sound response is great, with good bass, middle, and highs, and the volume is excellent, I have to turn the volume down now as it's too loud on full. As for how they feel on my ears, they don't. I know this sounds odd, but you will forget you are wearing them after a few seconds. I can wear these all day without any problems, whereas other, previous headphones, would irritate me after some time. Now we come to the battery life, and again I am pleased to report that they have an astonishing battery life without any noticeable weight. Would I recommend these to other people? Most definitely. Go ahead, change your life.

Pros✅ Comfortable & Lightweight– The open-ear design and soft ear hooks make them easy to wear for extended periods, ideal for workouts. - Clear Sound Quality – Features16.2mm enhanced bass drivers, providing a solid audio performance, though not as powerful as premium brands. - Stable Bluetooth 5.3 Connection – Ensures fast pairing and a low-latency experience, suitable for streaming and gaming. - Long Battery Life – Up to10 hours per charge, with a total of 54 hours, when using the charging case. - Transparency Mode – Allows users to stay aware of their surroundings, great for outdoor Cons❌ -Limited Noise Isolation- The open-ear design means background noise can interfere, making them, less ideal for noisy environments. - Mic Performance – Some users note that the microphone sounds hollow, affecting call quality. Sound Leakage– Since they don’t seal around your ears, audio may be heard by people nearby at higher volumes. Touch Controls Can Be Sensitive – Accidental touches might cause unwanted pauses or skips.

These headphones are well worth their cost. These are admittedly the only pair of open ear headphones that I currently own (though I own many pairs of different types and brands), but I am also aware of the price of most big name brands of open ear headphones on the market and these are significantly cheaper than most of what you'll find out there. Now that being the case I don't think you should be expecting the sound quality to be equal to that of say a $300 pair, but for the price they hold their own. The sound quality is not amazing, but it's pretty good and the bass is decent (better than I expected). Also, though I presume this is the case more or less for all open ear headphones, I find the way they sit on your ear to be very comfortable. They don't lead to discomfort with prolonged use in the same way that earbuds do or even over the ear studio headphones. I have yet to find myself aching to take a break from them. Though to be fair I haven't worn them for more than 4 hours in a single sitting yet. I think the other qualities of the headphones is where they really hold their weight. I haven't been able to test the 10 hour battery life yet, but I have yet to have the headphones die on me with many uses of 1-5ish hours at a time and I have yet to charge the case since purchasing. The battery of the case itself is impressive. It automatically charges the headphones when they are placed inside and they fit quite nicely into their individual spots with a magnetic hold that keeps them firm in place so they don't move around. The case itself doesn't scream high quality, but it also doesn't feel low quality. The headphones have touch functions that are fairly standard, but I find the sensitivity of the touch functions to be in the Goldilocks zone. On many headphones the touch can be way too sensitive and doing something as simple as adjusting the headphone can trigger a function like skipping a song which can be quite frustrating. At the same time if a touch isn't sensitive enough it can be almost as equally frustrating so I appreciate the balance with these. In terms of connectivity, the description I think undersells the headphones' capability. It claims a range of 10m, but I put them to the test and they can definitely exceed 10 meters and handle barriers such as walls and floors (and even a combination of both) without issue. They connect to my phone automatically (after the initial set up) when I take them out of the case and without much delay which gives them a nice ease of use. And finally, they do a pretty good job with phone calls as well. The mics have pretty good sound quality and pick up your voice well and the noise cancelling does a pretty good job of filtering out background noises when you're talking. Overall, if you're looking for a pair of over the ear headphones, but don't want to break the bank, I think these are an excellent choice. They're a solid bang for your buck.

I have a pair of bone conduction headphones to use for outdoor activities and found that although they allowed me to be more aware of things happening around me they gave me headaches with prolonged use. Decided to give these Truefree open ear headphones a try and came way surprised by how well they work. Since they don't vibrate against my head I no longer have headaches when wearing them for hours at a time. Pairing was easy, just make sure you remove the plastic covering the connector on the headphones first, plug them back into the case, and then press the button on the case to start the pairing process. I had no issues pairing them to my Apple iPad mini and my iPhone SE. Only caveat is you need to disconnect the headphones from one device and then connect with the other...it doesn't switch as seamlessly as Airpods but that's to be expected I guess. Sound quality is decent...mids/highs are good, lows are adequate but not booming. Because they are open ear don't expect much noise cancelling. The capacitive buttons on each side work well after you learn how to use them and get used to it. The case is quite large but it holds the headphones firmly in place. I've used the headphones for 3 days now for 2-3 hours per day and I'm still on the original charge from out of the box so the battery life seems good. Overall i would recommend these headphones if you need to be aware of your surroundings outside or home. Build quality is excellent, they're comfortable, battery life is good, and the price is really good.

The first pair I received stopped working about 4 weeks after purchasing. But I contacted support and they were incredibly responsive and helpful and remedied the situation immediately. I have now been using my replacement set for months. I am completely satisfied with my purchase. The quality is probably even better than the value for money.
