I make annual ID cards for a privet club, a couple hundred a year and not all at once. Investing in a PVC card printer is hard to justify and the low volume makes a outsourcing not cost effective. So I print on Teslin and thermal laminate. To approximate the quality of PVC cards I need to round the corners. When The R3 first arrived I tried it on all the sheets of plain paper I had on my desk. I was greatly disappointed. Two thirds of the corners I trimmed were perfect, the other third were uneven. I was ready to buy a $150 machine, but first I laminated a small batch of cards and decided the give the R3 another try. It works beautifully on the laminated cards! I speculate that a single sheet of paper is not stiff enough to be cut without distortion whereas the 10 mil Teslin inside a 5 mil laminating pouch is a whole different animal because it is stiff enough for the bypass-type trimmer to do its job without trouble. I'd say 95% of the cuts on the laminated cards are perfect and the other 5% are quickly fixed by flipping the card over and cutting the corner a second time. Sure, if I had 5000 cards to do, I'd opt for the $150 corner nipper, but for my volume the R3 is the Value King! Review: Great Quality - It is a great tool for precisely cutting PVC cards, offering a robust and reliable solution for creating rounded edges. The metal construction ensures durability, while the 3mm radius provides consistent results.

Really sturdy. 10/10
They work great for rounding the corners on custom TCG proxies. Only downside is that sometimes they will get clogged. I also recommend cleaning them really well when you first get them because the grease on them ruined one of my proxies

Excellent product, good price and quality. One more of my tools that I put to produce in the plumbing.

Doesn't Work Well
Does not make a nice rounded corner no matter how many times I try. Not worth the time or trouble to return it or I would.

Matches mtg card curves
I got this because we are working on making our own proxi cards for mtg. We wanted to find a cutter that does a 3mm curve to the corner of the cards. This is the only style of 3mm curve less than $50. It works great and matches the mtg card curves. This isn't industrial but is perfect for the hobbyist. It has a guide to put your 90 degree angle in and you just squeeze it to cut. I tested with a light weight paper and it was easy to use. I could tell you would need more strength if you use thicker paper (I'm 54 with arthritis).

Not good for leather
Bad quality , doesn't cut leather properly. probably is good for paper but not for leather.

I am a little undecided about this tool. I can see with practice it would make a lovely 1/8” rounded corner on a card. You have to be very careful how you line it up on the corner of the card but it is easy to see where to do so. However, it makes black marks on the edge that it cuts. I don’t know if that is temporary and that will discontinue after it is used a bit. I did clean off the cutting portion, but that only helped a bit. I have only used this tool on practice corners, because I don’t want a real card to be dirtied.
