Cybex Cloud G Base

This car seat base is the best of the best. It offers extra protection and stability in case of an accident. The load leg base is easy to install, and holds steady if clicked into place correctly.

Got this car seat in the cream color for our 2nd kiddo, as we had a hand-me-down Chicco for our first. We have now been using it for almost 4mos, and in comparison, the materials feel like better quality and more comfortable/cushiony. The straps move very smoothly when tightening and loosening (way better than our rotating, convertible car seats). It sometimes takes a couple tries to get it out of the base while pressing the necessary button, which is a little annoying - but I can’t be mad that it’s in the base securely! The base feels very secure using the anchors into our vehicles. I have also had to use the seatbelt install without the base and it works well in my combo cloth/leather RAV4 seats but didn’t work well in our leather captains chairs in our Honda Pilot. When trying to tighten the seatbelt, it causes the car seat to shift and takes it out of the optimal recline. We live is Arizona so I would agree with others that the materials seem to trap a little heat, and our guy does run warm. He’s gotten big enough to remove the infant insert and removing that seems to help. We have used the recline feature many times and it works easily for our when baby falls asleep and we’re taking him out of the car into a friend/family gathering or into a store (though I usually prefer to babywear if he’s initially awake). As expected, the cream color does show dirt more than a dark color would (doesn’t help having a dirty-handed toddler touching everything). I have washed the materials as per the manual a few times and it’s cleaned up well. Baby’s milky drool has left a little yellowing near the head piece but I bet it would come out leaving that piece out in the sun for a couple hours. Would absolutely buy again!
