Garmin should be worried. Better than Garmin in most ways for less and no subscription
I have been a loyal Garmin GPS Golf watch wearer going way back, at least back as far as the S10 watch. I have been an S62 owner and user for the past several years and I will be comparing the T11-Pro to those experiences. Pre-Purchase thinking: I wasn't really in the market for a new GPS watch, the S62 was fine as far as it goes. One buddy in our group has the S70 and I noticed it here and there on his arm, but his yardages were always wildly different than ours with the S62 that I didn't see any compelling reason to upgrade to that watch. I was bored one day and decided to research what was currently going on in the market and the one reason I could convince myself to upgrade to something new was for an OLED based screen that would be bright enough to see in all conditions, as the S62 is growing a little long in the tooth and was dim for most of it's life and occasionally hard to read in direct sunlight. Remembering that my buddy's S70 was bright and OLED, I looked it up and saw it is $650 and upwards, to which my response no way. I did remember that most of the newer S70 "cool" features (but not on my then-current S62) were ridiculously subscription-based. So if you want green view heat maps, or wind data and a few other things, it was going to cost an extra $9.99 a month or $99 a year. I was like no way, not paying another $650 for a watch anymore and not if I have to pay another nearly $100 a year. Period full stop. I am not interested in paying $650 for essentially the same Garmin I already have or for any watch to be honest. Voice Caddie T-11 Pro: found this and saw that it has the same or better screen than the S70, offers nearly all the same features that watch is capable of, WITHOUT a yearly or any kind of subscription, so was intrigued. I can get Green Approach heat maps, I can get actual Green Slope maps, I can get the watch telling me it's uphill or downhill to the hole, and even can get it telling me if I should aim left/right on those reads I cannot fully decide on AND for no extra subscription. And to top it off, I can do it for less than half the cost of the top of the line Garmin. So more features for less and without a subscription? Why wouldn't I try it and return it in 30 days if I hated it. I saw the reviews on it were mostly favorable with some unfavorable, so was interested to see for myself, These are my impressions after taking it to my main course and playing a single round: TL;DR this is an amazing watch crammed with features for an insane price, and they clearly want to eat into Garmin's dominance, so why not. Garmin seems smug in its position, isn't innovating as quickly as it could, and it's getting greedy in my opinion charging a subscription for most of the new features. After one round, I give the T11-Pro five stars without hesitation, Screen: The screen is awesome. Bright, colorful and easy to read in all light conditions. It's at least as good as the top of the line Garmin if not better. The information presented on the screen (more about the interface below) is better presented, is more clear and is more accurate in the sense that you are getting the information you actually want without having to try several times. For example, the expected drive line (a red line across the fairway), which you set in the settings based upon how far you typically drive it, is so intuitive to be able to see if your average drives are going to put you in danger of a hazard, a dog leg, what have you, that you do not even really need to get detailed yardages to those areas to "see" easily if you should be playing less than driver or something. Advantage T11-Pro. But if you want distances to reach and/or clear a bunker for example, all you have to do is click the bunker with your finger and you get yardages to reach and to clear the bunker--presented very clearly. And unlike the S62, your finger click is recognized all the time--even with your glove and it's responsive. Garmin S62's presentation of the "hole view is so small as to be unusable. Then, you'd have to click on a spot, wait for Garmin to zoom in, then back it out and you might still have to try a few times to get it to recognize you wanted the bunker/hazard distances. Not so with the T11 Pro. It is extremely responsive, and the touch screen is a million times better at recognizing your finger tap and what information you need. One downside is that you cannot really zoom in, no pinching and spreading motion to zoo in, but it's okay. You largely get all the information you need in zoomed out "hole" mode, and can bring up approach mode by swiping left and you can see the yardages to front, middle and back along with the heat map of how the slope is going to affect your ball on the green. Advantage T11-Pro Similarly, the T11 Pro automatically draws two rings around the green at 50 and 100 yards, and these circles are extremely valuable in assessing strategy. If you want to see how far your shot will be with the distance remaining for the next shot, you can easily place a marker (target) down and it will calculate remaining distance--same as just about any decent watch out there these days. Advantage T11 Pro. Size and height of the watch: Some reviews of the T11 Pro will tell you that the T11-Pro sits "higher" on your wrist, and I think it might be higher, marginally, but the T-11 Pro is lighter by a decent amount, feels less "bulky" on my wrist than the S62 and was just as comfortable, if not more so. Advantage: The hole is halved. Advantage neither watch. Interface: I read this ahead of time and have to agree, that the T11-Pro's interface is going to take some getting used to. The basic functions of Golf Mode, Approach View and Green/Putting View are easy enough to find (just swipes to the left and right respectively from the main screen) and mostly come up "automatically" depending upon where you are on the hole (tee box. fairway, within a 100 yards or so, or on the green). No issues there and if anything Advantage T11-Pro. But, the other things are not intuitive. Bringing up the settings if you need to make a switch (for example calling up the scorecard, or changing something like the mode of scoring (say going from "basic" where you just input one number for your score on the hole or "advanced" so you can enter score and number of putts, is hard to find and even when I did find it, I couldn't easily duplicate whatever it was I did to get there. There were times I wanted a zoomed in view and if that exists, I couldn't find it. The biggest annoyance I had with the T11-Pro was that it would give me my Tempo for most shots AND there was no way to turn this off. I was able to turn off the club suggestions (virtual caddie-like function) and also didn't want to have to update the yardages or chosen clubs for each shot. This Tempo thing would be great on the range if are working on such things, but it's kind of an unnecessary complication to show up on shots and putts if you don't want it, as I do. not. It didn't take long to "not" see it because I just didn't care, but i'd rather be able to have a setting to turn it off. I am sure after enough rounds I will get the interface down, and there does seem to be a feature where you can set about 5 different presses of the one button, but I'll have to figure that out. The absence of a "back" button bothered me whenever I needed it. I could go back by clicking out of the menu somehow, and I'm sure it will become second nature. But if you are a former Garmin user you WILL HAVE to unlearn everything you are used to doing in order to get through the various menus and scorecard. On the score card, it seems mostly automatic and it seems to bring it up when you reach the next tee box. It comes up on it's own, so you will have to unlearn hour you pressed a key to get to the scorecard screen on Garmin and enter your score while you are waiting for your buddies to putt out. It's kind of nice that you don't have to think about score until on the next tee box, and you use your finger to scroll up or down on the ring to enter scores (if the T11-Pro didn't guess the correct number of shots). Overall on interface: Advantage Garmin. Maybe after 5 or more rounds with this watch I'd update my view to make it neutral or advantage T11-Pro but time will tell. Stats and Features: Overall, I liked the after round stats on T11-Pro better. They are more clearly presented and you don't have to scroll up on a "widget" like you do on S62 to being up things like Steps and miles walked. On the need/worth of some of the features (including those that Garmin charges $9.99 a month for), the jury is still out. Approach view heat maps, I can see coming in very handy when you play courses you don't play every week (like on a buddies golf trip for example);everyone knows how to read these maps, and arrows so it's easy. On your home course is it all that helpful? Probably not necessary to be honest. Same with the "Putting View." Are you really going to rely on your watch telling you its uphill (and the numbers it gives you for uphill or down hill, like +16.13 or whatever, I still do not know and understand that the numerical thing is supposed to related to. Is it inches, stimp measurements, I honestly couldn't tell you. The "long putt advice" which often would say things like aim one club left or right were only useful when I just couldn't figure out is it left to right or right to left. Frequently, when putting over a ridge our group doesn't know is it going to turn right up this hill or left, and for that the advice was helpful (one one or two putts). Sometimes it was just wrong, and taught me a good lesson about trusting my eyes and my feet as to what the putt will do. Although some if these "features" seemed relatively less useful IRL, my conclusion is why not have them for the few times they DO come in handy, and moreover, why not get them without the watch company being so ridiculously greedy as to eek out another $99 a year for them--especially since the cost of their watch up front was double if not slightly more than double depending on the deal you can find for the T11-Pro (I got mine here for $280 under some time-based deal that happened to expire 6 hours after I got mine). Adtantage T11-Pro. Post round analysis: took me a second to find the information on the iOS VC app but the shots for each shot plotted against the map of the course were all there. I thought this was an advantage to Garmin but I take it back. Each has the same thing, though of course the T11-Pro has that information on a better, more clearly drawn map because of the screen clarity and brightness, so tight edge to T11-Pro here. There was some missed information on the length of the drives (Advantage Nobody because Garmin does this too), and the "Last Shot" distances which I typically look for after my drives was spotty on the T11-Pro, so slight advantage Garmin there, but it's information while feeding the ego, isn't all that relevant because the distance of the next shot etc. is clearly shown on T11-Pro. The post round shot by shot numbers for my drives seemed accurate even if the "last shot" distance on the watch may not have. Touchscreen. Clear Advantage T11-Pro as I said above, but in the ability to move the pin to where it is on your day is SO much better on T11-Pro I thought I would call it out here. I never moved the pin location on the Garmin S62 because it s such a hassle, and honestly I didn't need precise distance to wherever the flag was that day because I could see with my eyes where it was in relation to the back, middle or front; but again, if you are going to tout the ability to move the pin location, why not have it in a way that actually works every time so Advantage T11-Pro. Speed to pick up satellites and accuracy: Small sample size, I know, but the T11-Pro found the course and satellites way faster than my buddy's S62 did today. I had mine almost instantaneously and his took several minutes to find and load the same course. The numbers were all within 1-3 yards for the front and back, and our middle numbers were 5-10 yards different on most holes. Hard to say who was more accurate, but the one time I was standing on a yardage marker to the middle of the green, my T11-Pro was off by one yard (less). More study, but I felt like my numbers all round were accurate. Advantage: slight to T11-Pro because of how quickly it locked on. Wind speed and direction: I don't know if it was because wind was low to non existent today (my course is frequently very windy, which was one reason I was looking forward to wind data), but I never got a single reading. It was 0 mph all day. I had the app running (which it said you needed) but still never got a reading. Advantage maybe Garmin though I never wanted their Garmin Golf app running during my round eating my iPhone battery and the strength number never seemed accurate. Hopefully I can figure out what I did wrong, but even if T11-Pro doesn't ever work for wind data, it would not affect my opinion here. Health data: clear winner to Garmin. If you care to have HRM or Pulse Ox, then only Garmin has it. If you care only about your steps, miles then T11-Pro has it easier to find and more clearly presented. I wear a Whoop so don't really care about the HRM and other health features, but if you're wearing your golf watch as an activity tracker and basic health stats acquirer, then the T11-Pro may not be for you. Final Answer: at least based upon a single round v. many rounds over five years with S62, the T11-Pro is a remarkable watch for extremely good value. More for less, no subscription, same great OLED bright screen and comparable if not better performance, you would be well served to try it out--even at the regular price of $349 if you're comparing the full featured watches out there. I am glad I switched off the Garmin train, Competition is good for everyone and VC is hungry for your business. Not sure how long that hunger is going to exist but now is a great time to take advantage for getting all those features for significantly less cost. November 2025 update:. Pains me to say this but I have done a 180 on this watch and relegated it to the drawer. After several months of exclusive use, I hate this watch. It's too big, too bulky, sits too high on my wrist and I've grown to dispise the odd and unintuitive interface--especially the poorly and and even more poorly implemented scoring system. Moreover, the watch is overcrowded with information you don't need (I'm looking at you flashbacks, flyovers, wrong Ai green reading and needless data) and it's just too busy to be a soothing golf companion. The screen brightness and clarity remains a standout. I went back to my trusty S62 and then picked up a S44 with the subscription (hold my nose I know) and got all the best golffeatures plus AMLOED screen of Garmins's top of the line S70 with the best interface for far less than the later, heavier top of the line S70. Hate the subscription model but it is a winner with it so I had to do it. But I don't want biometric and lifestyle data on my golf watch (which S70 has for $699). If you do, don't look at S44. Butbid you want only the golf features in a smaller, lighter, better watch consider the $299 S44 with the subscription.

Accurately shows every distance, long or short
This product is absolutely essential for my golf rounds—I couldn't play without it. What stands out most is the display; the screen is incredibly clear, even in bright sunlight. Since it accurately shows every distance, long or short, it's become a critical tool that I check constantly. The fact that it automatically tracks the scores makes it incredibly convenient. Plus, I really appreciate the stylish and design

Not worth your time
Worst watch I’ve purchased by far. I own both the T9 and T11 versions. I thought that upgrading would be a great idea. The watch was great to start, and then all of a sudden stopped working. After going through numerous videos, different reset options, there was still an error. Even updating the app on my computer was no luck. I tried reaching out to the manufacturer and they were not able to assist me, and I’ve given up waiting for a reply back via email or phone call. Definitely not worth the money in my opinion. I think my next option is reaching out to the BBB so that no one has to deal with the same issues I’ve had to endure.

Good enough, at first
Originally I was very happy. But then only 95% of the courses/holes I play it is accurate, a few times off by a few hundred yards. And if the course has 3 sets of 9s, it isn’t always figuring out which hole you are on. And then there have been a few courses where it is way, way off (50-100 yards misreading the distance from the green). Overall I was okay with those issues and sucking it up, and probably would have given 3-4 stars. Until it stopped reliably charging. After maybe 15 rounds of use it no longer charges properly. 1 of the charging contacts looks corroded, and if I scrub the gunk off of it so it can charge, it corrodes again within a single use.

A very nice (but not perfect) golf watch!
This watch has many features but not sure I will use them all. Looking at the breaks on the greens using the watch can tend to slow play a little and may not be totally accurate. It's also a little slow at first in finding the right screen one is looking for. Nonetheless, it's a great watch and I find that the more I use it, the quicker I can find the correct screen. It replaced a Garmin S20 Approach...which I still have.

Really good watch for golf
This is the best golf watch I have ever owned. It is light weight, touch screen and screen are very vibrant. After downloading the app and connect to Bluetooth, was easy to use. The first time I used the watch I wasn’t connected to the app and the wind direction wouldn’t work so that was a bummer but once I paired to the app, this worked great. I don’t always play the same course so I really like the hole flyover that gives overview of the hole. I also like that I could set my average drive distance in the watch settings which lets me know if I’m hitting it in the junk and the approach view is great. It shows the green contour which helps me manage my shots into the green. The scorecard is a nice feature too. I’m still learning all the features but I think this is a great watch for the price and the features it offers. I do wish it showed the time of day when I’m playing, but other than that I think it’s a great value.

Firmware upgrade glitch - pending review
*UPDATE* Oct. 2025... Issue resolved. Thank you. 4 stars now ⭐⭐⭐⭐. VC warranty replaced defective watch in 14 days. Thank you. Replacement working, but I will be hesitant to upgrade firmware. Watch works fine without it. *UPDATE* 10/03/25... Worked great for over 2 months until I was prompted on my phone for a firmware update today. Updated the firmware by phone as requested. Now T11 is dead, it will not even turn on. Several attempts at manual 10 sec. reset; still dead watch. Slow email response from customer support, no answer on phone line most of the day, just voicemail. Finally, phone answered late afternoon, and David with CS was nice and is helping me get warranty process started. Thank you David. BTW, the recommended firmware update via email from support using my PC from website did not work either. Unfortunately, 2+ hours fooling around with this. Should be a better and simpler design for a simple reset and or just a quick replacement. I'll post again later with warranty experience and/or replacement status, but for now my T11 is dead. Giving 3 stars until this is resolved. Bummer VC. :( ---------------------------------------- *Original Review* Fan-freakin-tastic! It's like James Bond and Golf had a baby! Ha! 😂 Thanks to the nice discount on Prime Day, I was finally able to afford one of these fancy gps golf watches. Look out Garmin! This is a Garmin killer. Screen quality and colors on this Voice Caddie T11 Pro is top notch, very clear especially in bright conditions. Touchscreen is awesome! Be patient though, this watch has a lot of bells and whistles that take a little time to learn to use. My suggestion new users ... after reviewing the PDF manual and some YouTube videos, go and golf by yourself or with a patient friend on a slow day so you can sample the features on this watch. The only thing I recommend to Voice Caddie, please include the micro charging cord and small charging brick. The free charger cradle provided is very nice, but at price points of around $300, just throw in the $5 cord and charging brick. Additionally, the PDF manual is nice, but people want tutorial videos these days with tech like this. Please add these videos to YouTube or your site. Also, I like that it tracks steps, mileage, calories. Be nice if with future software upgrades you add heart rate too. Overall, really nice watch with a ton of features from tee to green and (lots of stats that can later be edited). Love the Swing Tempo features too. * 💡Got an idea for all watches like this,.. they all need a weather warning feature when dangerous Thunderstorms are approaching, especially here in FL where they are quite common every afternoon. I highly recommend this VoiceCaddie T11 Pro watch!! You'll love it!
