I am very novice to bee keeping, an i know i will face some challenges being my first year. I assembled two of these units. 1.) The units are coated in bees wax , and they smell wonderful 2.) assembly was easy , but you do need to pay attention or you will assemble things upside down and backwards. 3.) the frames that came with them were nice. again pay attention as there is a lot of parts. and putting all those frames together is time consuming 4.) I really like the base of the frame that holds the boxes up , it is nice metal material , an once put together seems sturdy. I also love the fold out frame arm holders. I am certain it will come in handy one day. 5.) Since i am just starting out , i wont need the top box yet. But i have it for expansion which is great. 6.) LOVE the little viewing windows, this will be a great help for a novice like me so I will be able to view in without disrupting the hive. overall I feel i got a decent item , an hope to make good use of it

Absolutely love this hive!!! Easy to set up, everything needed was included. Holding up great in the crazy Colorado weather.

I believe for the price you can’t beat i, however there are some things that needs to be advised on the instructions like you might not need to add the locks on the boxes if you decide to move them around eg having the supper on deep only box or vice versa some boxes that have the lock on it makes it harder for the cover to close, if you don’t believe you will need to expand then you can add them but it makes it a little challenging with configuration of the boxes when u need to move them around. Otherwise great deal and my bees love it so far

Easy and relatively fast to build and setup also smells pleasant so that's a plus. I had a few pieces of brood frames that had knots where nails where supposed to go but had a few extra pieces that it came with probably for that very reason. Overall I love it and would recommend it to anyone who's interested. Took me only a few hours to assemble once you get going it things get smoother just have to be patient and careful with it.

Bought this kit for the bees that we removed from our soffit. Was easy to put together. Made with good strong bees wax coated wood. So far bees like it.

This was well packaged and arrived quickly. I'm very impressed with the quality of the product. I will be using this as a beehive of course.

i used non-toxic wood glue and my pneumatic staple gun to put the box together and i believe it made it stronger than those dovetail joint boxes. i'm a first year bee keeper so wish me luck
