Great chess set! And checkers too!
Love this chess set! Large pieces, classic design, felted, move easily on the mat. Pouches and a case for storage. Can't beat the price! And checkers too!

Travels well. Full size board and pieces in a small package.
I was looking for a quality, compact set and this is it. I have a full size kit I use for tournaments, but wanted one that was easy to take when travelling. This one fits the bill well. The silicone board folds up any way you like, then lays out flat when it is game time. The board and pieces are both full size, very important for good game play. There is a little bit of room left in the case for a small clock and even a small rubber duck - handy if you are into duck chess. All around exactly what I was looking for.

Incredible Value for $20 for all that is included. Wonderfully sized board. Chess, checkers, and a set of dice lol Obviously, this is a travel product so the pieces are light weight but I am surprised at the quality of those product. Bought to teach my kids.

Great mat, poor pieces
The silicone mat is excellent. Very flexible. Thin, but not too thin. Grippy on the bottom, less grippy on top. Comes in a protective plastic wrap so it's clean of dust when it arrives. I guess I shouldn't expect much for the price, but the pieces are low quality. They don't feel weighted at all, just hollow. Besides feeling cheap, this means they tip easily. The plastic finish has an unfinished dull sheen, similar to PVC pipe from a hardware store. Edges are a bit sharp with visible seams. Plastic "mold flash" was left on some seams that needed to be shaved off. I didn't think I would be picky about the look and feel of plastic pieces, but getting these made me realize I do actually care.

Good set
The base of two of the pieces were uneven, therefore the pieces do not stand vertically. Will have to remove the felt base and grind off the imperfection. Otherwise, overall the set is good.
