Great but pair it with Amazon Fire TV Cube!
Price is really good, it's slow but that's on purpose to make it more affordable. I recommend pairing it with an Amazon Fire TV Cube. This will make it a lot faster + allow you to use maximum resolution. No complaints at all.

Great Smart TV for the Price
The TCL TV works great. The picture is sharp, the sound is good, and the Smart system is fast and easy to use. It sets up in just a few minutes and works smoothly. Very satisfied with the purchase.

Think Twice Before Purchasing This TV
I have owed this TV, and watched it daily, for five months now. I can honestly say I regret purchasing it. There are so many negative traits, I don’t know where to start. It is slow. Sometimes it can take up to 30 seconds to change the channel, or to switch apps, or to even stop playback on a streaming show. It has many glitches… for example, sometimes when I am playing PS5, the screen will just go to black, it will still have audio, but the screen will be completely dark and I I’ll have to relaunch the system to fix it. On the home screen, there is an option to continue watching a show where you left off, but it doesn’t work correctly, and it will start the show on some past episode that you already watched, and you have to go through the hassle of going back to the menu to find the correct show, which since this TV is so clunky, is a real pain in the butt. Speaking of the home screen, it is one big, annoying advertisement for Amazon. Also, this TV does not display old TV shows properly. Any show from the 1980s or earlier, before the advent of widescreen technology, will appear crushed on the screen, making it impossible to enjoy. I actually talked to TCL technical support about this, and they are aware of it, but offered no solutions. Also, you cannot download the Spectrum app on this TV. Because for some reason, Amazon considers Spectrum a competitor they won’t allow you to download their app, so if you use the app to watch spectrum TV, you’re out of luck. How pathetic is that? It’s not enough that Amazon makes $1 billion a day, they have to crush the competitors too. Like allowing people to watch a. competitor’s app with somehow affect their bottom line. Ridiculous. It does have a nice picture, but the sound is average at best, and sometimes I have to turn the volume up to above 70 to hear the dialogue, depending on the app I am using. The really interesting thing is I also own a 55 inch TCL TV with a Roku operating system, and it is great. So IMO the issue is not with the manufacturer, TCL, but with the operating system, Fire TV. I would highly discourage anyone from purchasing any TV with the Fire TV operating system, and in particular this TV.

Great value for the money
UPDATE 12/10/24: While everything I wrote still stands, I have discovered you CAN NOT disable the SLEEP TIMER.! This is a HUGE DESIGN FLAW and IMMENSELY AGGRAVATING & INCONVENIENT! Example: Every time I pause a show (to answer phone etc), the TV goes into Sleep Mode and I have to Start the process All Over again; Go to & click Hulu (any app), click my name, scroll to show I was watching, Click on show, then Click "play". Unbelievable waste of time and IRRITATING to No End! While researching how to disable the sleep timer, I found so many forums with many, manh people discusing this issue and how P!ssed off everyone is about this horrible issue. Why they don't have "Never" option in the sleep timer is the most idiotic oversight. If I had discovered this within my return window, I would have got rid of this TV. Unless they fix this in the future, I will NEVER EVER buy another Fire TV! ROKU is so much more user-friendly and not trying to force things on the user (like Amazon TV). Are there work arounds? Yes there are but they are only temporary and jusr another step you have to redo offten. The Color is fantastic and the picture is pretty great as far as backlight, brightness, and sharpness. It seemed smaller than my last TCL 55" but I measured it and it was the same size. I'm still trying to get used to the Home page layout of the Fire OS - I prefer Roku. 3 things that bothered me about this T.V.: 1.) I'm disappointed that the 3.5 mm headphone jack will not output to my multimedia speakers (with subwoofer), like my last TCL. I did all the proper settings and no sound at all. Luckily, the onboard TV speaker sound is better than most TV's if you tweak the settings a bit. It's good enough that I didn't feel compelled to buy a sound bar immediately (may get one eventually). 2.) Like other reviews mentioned, there is a lag sometimes. It's just enough to be annoying but nothing to pull your hair out over...so far. I will update if anything gets worse with time. 3) This is my worst pet peeve about this TV - I hate the remote! It's too long, overly sensitive (easy to trigger), and not very efficient with the button layout imo. But I have small hands so maybe that's why. Having Alexa makes up for some of my dislikes. All in all, this is an excellent TV for the price and a great deal. I like that it has a Media Player (app) so I can see stuff from a thumb drive right on my T.V. Lets see how long it lasts. The T.V. that I was replacing, a 55" TCL 5 series with Roku, the video went out 4 months after the 4 year extended warranty expired. Good thing I didn't pay for the extended warranty lol.

A Remarkable 75-Inch Masterpiece — TCL Has Redefined Value, Performance, and Home Entertainment Purchasing the TCL 75-Inch Class S5 UHD 4K LED Smart TV with Fire TV (75S551F, 2024 Model) from AMAZON has been one of the most satisfying tech upgrades I’ve made in years. This TV doesn’t just perform well — it delivers a premium cinematic experience that consistently impresses, night after night. TCL has truly raised the bar with this model, offering flagship-level quality at an unbelievably accessible price. Dazzling Visuals That Transform Your Living Space The moment the screen powers on, the 4K UHD panel shows its strength. Colors are rich and lifelike without ever looking exaggerated. The combination of Dolby Vision and HDR PRO+ adds incredible depth, nuanced shadow detail, and brilliant highlights that bring out layers of realism you simply can’t get on lower-end models. Whether you're watching a nature documentary, an action blockbuster, or sports in real time, the image quality is consistently breathtaking. The contrast performance is excellent, and motion handling is smooth and clean — even during high-speed scenes. Simply put, this TV makes everything look spectacular. Immersive Dolby Atmos Sound That Fills the Room A massive screen deserves powerful sound, and the built-in Dolby Atmos system absolutely delivers. The audio is fuller, richer, and more dimensional than expected from an integrated speaker setup. You get clear dialogue without distortion, vibrant highs, and a surprising sense of spaciousness. For many viewers, the TV’s native sound will be more than enough — and for enthusiasts, it pairs beautifully with external audio systems as well. Fire TV Integration That Makes Streaming a Breeze The smart TV experience is one of this model’s biggest strengths. The Fire TV interface is fast, remarkably intuitive, and polished. You get instant access to thousands of apps, streaming services, and channels without a hint of lag. Alexa Built-in makes everything easier. With quick voice commands, you can search for content, control playback, manage smart home devices, and jump directly into your favorite apps — all hands-free. Everyday use feels effortless, responsive, and well thought out. It’s the type of user experience that enhances your viewing habits instead of getting in the way. A Dream for Apple and Amazon Users Alike The inclusion of Apple AirPlay 2 compatibility is a massive bonus that sets this model apart. Casting content, sharing photos, streaming videos, or mirroring your screen from your Apple devices is seamless and reliable. This level of cross-platform flexibility is rare at this price point and makes the TV a perfect hub for modern households with mixed ecosystems. Fantastic for Gaming and Sports Enthusiasts Gamers will appreciate the responsive input control and smooth performance, making gameplay fluid and engaging. Sports fans will love the crisp clarity and smooth motion, even during fast-paced action or quick camera pans. The 75-inch screen makes everything feel larger, more dynamic, and far more immersive. Build Quality and Design That Feel Premium The ultra-slim profile and sleek bezel design make the TV look far more expensive than it actually is. It blends elegantly into any living room, home theater, or office setting. TCL didn’t cut corners — even the construction feels sturdy and intentional. A Price-to-Performance Ratio That’s Practically Unmatched What truly elevates the TCL 75S551F is its enormous value. It brings together high-end features — Dolby Vision, HDR PRO+, Fire TV, Dolby Atmos, Alexa voice capability, AirPlay 2, and a massive 75-inch display — at a price that undercuts many lesser models. You’re not just buying a TV. You’re investing in a complete entertainment upgrade that rivals the experience of TVs costing hundreds more Final Verdict: A Showstopper in Every Sense This TV is an absolute triumph. TCL has delivered a 2024 model that hits every important mark: picture quality, smart features, sound performance, design, ease of use, and exceptional value. It has elevated my viewing experience to a level that genuinely makes movie nights, gaming sessions, and everyday streaming something to look forward to. If you want a cinematic, modern, beautifully designed 75-inch television that far outperforms its price tag, look no further. The TCL 75S551F is a standout winner and an easy, enthusiastic recommendation.

Best bang for the buck - Read for tips
For $259 with free Prime shipping, I couldn't pass this up. 55 inch, UHD (4K), HDR10+, Dolby Vision+, DTX, Clear Voice Audio, Alexa-enabled remote with FireTV functionality. Regarding the exasperated reviews I took note of before buying, some are valid and others are a few updates from being resolved. 👇 The picture is absolutely customizable, and great at this price. After a few necessary and mostly automatic firmware and software updates, you can customize almost everything: picture mode - standard, movie, dynamic (vivid/showroom), natural, custom, and also dynamic backlight, dynamic contrast, local contrast, etc. You can fine tune color, brightness... toggle game mode, etc. *However, these settings are app specific, and you can only access the picture setting with each app open. What works for ad-supported HD Netflix and Prime 4K XRay are not always the same. Similarly, each of the 4 HDMI sources is handled the same way. Luckily these are saved after first setup on each, and default to Standard if you don't mess with them. Sound modes: Not great, rear firing speaker with no wall mount audio settings. Still, it does have Clear Voice for late night listening and Audible books and podcasts, as well as many other audio modes and settings, including a manual equalizer or pre-sets. Plan on an external speaker if you are an audio-cinephile. I'm perfectly happy with the sound in my place, because I have neighbors. Lag Between Apps: yes, more from using the preset app remote buttons than while launching the same app from the Home screen. Otherwise, the remote and FireTV functionality is typical. Fandango will have a blue screen if you don't stop play, and then exit to the Fandango app Home, before exiting back to the FireTV Home (or powering off) on the remote. Otherwise, you have to restart the TV to get past the blue screen (Fandango only). It's the same on GoogleTV. It's the app, not FireTV. Setup is easy. I had no screen damage or any other defects so far. Software updates required 3 separate restarts, including 1 just for the remote. I would recommend not skipping these, lest you become exasperated. There is no digital tuner, but a $10 antenna will get a surprising number of local channels which can be added via 1 click Channel Scan to other free streaming channel services (Tubi, Pluto, Xumo, Prime, Peacock, Max, etc.). These are all pulled together seamlessly on the Live TV tab of Home. (After installing the apps and logging in, of course. Use your phone for this. Trust me). All things considered, probably the best bang for the buck at this price point you will find.

Stunning Picture and Seamless Smart Features
This TCL 75‑inch TV is outstanding. The 4K UHD resolution with Dolby Vision delivers crisp detail, vibrant colors, and deep contrast that make movies and shows look incredible. The large screen size is perfect for a living room or home theater setup, creating an immersive viewing experience. The built‑in Fire TV interface is smooth and easy to navigate, with all the streaming apps right at your fingertips. Setup was quick, and the remote is intuitive with voice control that works flawlessly. Sound quality is solid, but it also pairs nicely with a soundbar for a true theater feel. For the price, this TV offers premium performance and features that rival much more expensive models. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a big‑screen upgrade with smart functionality and excellent picture quality.
