Easy to drink and no stomach side effects from this magnesium
I really like this magnesium. It does not cause any stomach issues as other forms of magnesium can. I read a prior review that said this was too sweet. When I made my first dose mixed with water I did not add the full 8 oz (as instructed) of water. I was headed to bed and didn’t want to take in that much water. I probably used 2 oz and wow, the magnesium was incredibly sweet. Shockingly sweet. BUT the next day when I correctly mixed the one scoop of magnesium with 8 oz of water it was not too sweet at all. When mixed correctly it tastes like a delicious watered down lemonade. It is easy to drink down the mixture. I have learned to let the bubbles pop that form when you add the water. If I don’t gently stir and pop the bubbles that form on the surface the bubbles can be a tiny bit of that concentrated sweetness, but if you gently stir them in the mixture is really tasty. The other thing I noticed after the dose where I incorrectly mixed the magnesium with only 2oz of water was my skin was itchy for about an hour afterwards. I was randomly itchy on my arms and legs and it would come and go. I never had any hives or anything on the skin, just simply random itchy spots that I would scratch and then another spot would get itchy a bit later. Over and over for about an hour. When I properly mixed the magnesium with 8oz of water I didn’t have any itchy spots. I also have I injected this in the morning, mid day and at night. I have never had any side effects that either made me wide awake nor that made me drowsy. I don’t feel jittery and it doesn’t make my stomach hurt. I am very happy to have found this product.

This Magnesium Bisglycinate powder is flavored.
I assume, for the price, the quality is high. I prefer powdered supplements to capsules, as I think they are more affordable in the long run. Please be aware, however that this is a sweetened (monk fruit) CITRUS FLAVORED product. I didn't know it was flavored, so I bought it to add extra magnesium bisglycinate to my regular vegetarian powdered morning protein drink. However, when I added it in, the flavor of the Thorn powder was so overpowering as to create a less than desirable morning drink for me. I did try mixing the Thorn powder with plain water, as suggested on the jar & it was palatable.

Works as described
This has been the best thing I have bought to help me sleep and make me feel well rested. After trying so many types of natural remedies to help me sleep and nothing worked until I bought this. After taking one medication that after a a few weeks making me feel depressed I devoted to try this. Before I would get only 4-6 hours of sleep with waking up two to three times in between and taking 1-2 hours to fall back to sleep. After me taking this for 7 days I noticed a complete turn around for me I sleep now 8-9 hours a night with only waking up sometime once at night but still able to fall right back to sleep and the next day just feeling so well rested and my mind not going in 10 different directions at the same time is the best feeling ever and all thanks to this amazing product. Thanks to my primary doctor also telling me Thorne has the best natural products after I told her I refused to take any kind of meds to help me sleep and control my anxiety and my thinking patterns. Thank you Thorne for your amazing products

Way too sweet
I've been having trouble swallowing capsules but wanting to add magnesium glycinate to my supplement lineup to see if it helped my sleep, and Thorne is a high quality brand. I'd tried emptying some capsules I had into applesauce and quickly discovered this type of magnesium tastes *awful*, so I was very cautiously optimistic here. This powder is slightly citrus and very sweet. It does not completely cover up what almost tastes like fish but buries it pretty deeply; I found adding some additional complementary flavor (like a pinch of Propel or flavor drops) helped make it more palatable. It dissolves well in water if you stir it in. But it is SO sweet I had to use a solid 8oz of water to drink it, and that was with only 1/2 the suggested dose. Drinking a bunch of water right before bed definitely does not do much for my sleep! And even taking it earlier, just didn't really do anything for me. Jury is still out on whether magnesium glycinate is helpful, but I'll need to continue just searching for a smaller capsule version if I want to keep trying it at night.

My #1 sleep-aid
My favorite part of my bedtime routine right here! It’s actually quite yummy of a little beverage that I sip on while I do my nightly reading before bed to start getting sleepy and the off to dreamland I go - highly recommend for anyone who has any trouble with winding down the mind and body at night

A great powder magnesium. Mix in a little bit of hot water first.
First time taking a powder form of magnesium. Normally I take capsules. But I thought I’d try a powder out because when I asked ChatGPT what the best one would be for helping lower blood pressure this is the brand it gave me. I can’t confirm fully, but I think it is helping with sleeping at night too. I take it before I go to bed. But I highly recommend mixing it in an ounce of hot water first so that it dissolves all the way. It won’t fully dissolve in cold water. Just like sugar won’t dissolve in cold iced tea. It’s gotta be hot. You’ll definitely have some settling at the bottom of your glass if you only mix in cold water. So start with the 1 ounce of hot water, mix, and then add another 6-7 ounces cold water. I add ice too. Has a mild citrus / lemon flavor. Tastes good.

Does not taste good on its own - I have to mix with Tang or similar
Update.. I tried Nutricost brand peach flavor mag powder and it's so much better taste wise. They also offer an unsweetened plain version. This form of magnesium was recommended to me for migraines. I'm not THAT picky about flavors, especially when it comes to vitamins or supplements that are supposed to help me, but Ughhhh I wish I could stomach this. It's so bad on its own mixed with just water. I've tried cold water and hot water. It's got a "flavor" that I cannot describe. I'd rather have them try to make it taste like "something" (a fruit? citrus? I dont know). It's sweetened with monkfruit to try to improve taste but it's difficult to stomach because the flavor is so WEIRD! And it's not any particular flavor. I can't tell if it's the monkfruit that is stomach churning or the actual magnesium powder. I was about to throw it away (cue the tears bc it's sooo expensive) but I had a packet of True Lemon Mango Orangeade stevia mix on hand. I mixed it together in a cup of cold water & it almost masked the flavor. However, that's not cost effective because I'd go through a box of drink mix every few days. So I bought a big canister of TANG , and that helps enough to mask it but the flavor is even MORE sweet (blegh) and I'm drinking more sugar than I normally would. I don't really care at this point because I really want this to help the migraines, and I already spent the money. I recommend anything that is a TART or CITRUS flavor if you need to mix it with something, like one of the True Lemon flavored drink powder mix. The stevia is tolerable and it's no added sugar. I think another reviewer mentioned orange juice. I just wish Thorne would've gone in another direction regarding the 'sweetener'.
