This pump works very well. Must keep clamp tightened, or it will spew water from the top, however. Otherwise, this really helps keep water off the driveway

I HATE IT!!! This pump has one of the worst float designs I have ever seen. The activation float is at the end of a wire that attaches to the top of the handle via a little plastic clip with a rubber grommet running through it. That causes a couple of problems; 1. At its lowest setting, you have to have nearly a foot of standing water before the pump will come on. This pump was obviously not made for shallow water operations. The float just kind of flops around until it is in the full vertical position (deep). 2. While adjusting the clip the rubber grommet slipped out of the plastic housing and is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to get back in. I spent over an hour and a LOT of frustration trying to get it back in, but it won't go because it needs to be compressed and with the wire running through it, you are unable to compress it sufficiently. I tried everything, screwdrivers, probes, clamps, etc. In the end I just put water proof tape on my new pump that I have never even had in water yet. HORRIBLE! Another design flaw is the discharge fitting. They were smart to provide a high volume discharge port, and an adapter so multiple different sizes of discharge hoses can be used. The only problem is none of the sizes are threaded for or will accommodate a standard garden hose, which is the most common attachment for this kind of pump.

I used this pump to replace one that had been in service for about five years,it works well,and the price could not be beat locally.

Lots of power to pump high volume of water - great price. Have used it once to pump ocean water for about an hour of continuous pumping time. The real test will be in a couple of weeks when I will need it again for about the same time period after it sits idle for these next few weeks.

This pump fits the bill. It does everything I need to move water around on my small homestead.

Will not work with Garden Hose. Stong pump workes great by itself. After buying adapter for garden hose and attaching hose output drops to 1 twentieth. I can get 4 times output from hose using my house bib. They just won't work together.

So impressed with this. It has many adapter and sizes so hooking it up to a hose shouldn't be a problem. I've had it for 2 months and no issues. The float has a long cable attached to it so I used the crimper that comes with it to shorten it. I left it long at first and found the pump didn't turn on right away. If you're using it to drain a pool, it doesn't matter.

Bought this after exceeding all exchanges on a master craft from Canadian tire @ 400$. Great little unit at a fraction of the price. Float gets hung up some times and doesnt activate easily shortening it, but will Jerry rig in the hole when I get a chance.

I for once got organized for the flooding that occurs in my basement. Finally went and tried the pump doesn’t work at all. It’s totally defected. Due to the fact I purchased it over 30 days ago im stuck with this pump and and flooded basement.
