Not only is this a heavy duty crane scale, but it is also very accurate and definitely built for industrial use. Whilst the scale itself is made from aluminium alloy, it is encased in a steel shell to give it that protection required in an industrial environment, and the whole unit is also waterproof. The lifting ring and the heavy duty hanging hook are both made from stainless steel and they weigh quite a bit themselves. Although these are industrial strength scales, with regards to how they are built. In terms of how much these scales can lift, you can have them ranging from as little as 300 kg all the way up to 200 tonnes. When the scales handle these kind of weights, they have no choice but to be built from the same strong materials or they just won't be up to the job. So when looking at how much you spend on one, that will be determined by the max amount you want to lift. It's a simple equation really, the more you want to lift, the more you have to pay. This one is ideal for my needs as I have purchased this for use in our warehouse at work. I know that the equipment we handle will never exceed 3000 kg so this is ideal for me. This has a nice clear LCD display that is back-lit, and you can switch that on and off with the remote control that is also supplied. Measurement can be changed from kgs to lbs, again this can be done from the remote control so they have definitely thought of the safety aspect. When you are dealing with weights that heavy, you want to keep safe and keep away from them as much as you can, and the remote control allows you to do that as most things can be done from the control.

Measurement can be toggled from kgs to lbs using the remote control which is very handy and an excellent safety feature. Overall, I am highly impressed with this crane scale and recommend it.
