This is one of the most niche smelling colognes in my collection because of its animalistic civet note. It's just a wee bit funky if you can imagine. I still like it as something different but it makes it much less mass appealing and more suited to casual wear.

Al Haramain Detour Noir Exclusif is an incredible follow-up to its predecessor—richer, darker, and more refined. The opening is a smooth blend of coffee, almond, and vanilla, adding just enough sweetness to balance the deeper notes underneath. It feels luxurious and confident, like a scent crafted for cool evenings and tailored coats. As it develops, the darkness unfolds beautifully: earthy oakmoss, damp geranium, and a subtle animalic touch from civet that gives it a regal, mysterious depth. It’s like wandering through the forest around an old castle—moist air, ancient trees, and a quiet pulse of life all around. A perfectly blended composition that feels both commanding and sophisticated.

Detour Noir Exclusif is exactly what the name implies. This is a Parfums de Marly Layton Exclusif-style fragrance, and the inspiration is obvious from the first spray. If regular Detour Noir targets Layton, this one clearly aims at the darker, more polarizing flank. The opening is bold and slightly challenging. You get a mix of spiced fruit and smoky woods, with a noticeable animalic edge early on. That darker opening is very much in line with Layton Exclusif’s reputation. It’s not the smooth apple-vanilla sweetness people associate with Layton. It leans dirtier and more mature right away. As it settles, the structure becomes clearer. The mid brings in rose, incense, and woody sweetness, which pulls it closer to the Layton Exclusif DNA. This is where the resemblance becomes more convincing. You get that mix of sweetness and darkness that makes the original feel so distinctive. The drydown is where Detour Noir Exclusif performs best. You get vanilla, amber, woods, and smoky musk, which create a warm but slightly rugged base. It ends up rich, masculine, and more serious than most fragrances in this price range. Not worth the hype. My wife and daughter agree this is nothing like the PDM Layton Excusif. Has an odd back note that makes it off putting. Will let it mature on the shelf for a while and if it improves I will come back and make an edit. Otherwise I will give it to a homeless person at the park because thats the only person I can think of whose scent will benefit from this one.

So I received this cologne as described I do have a passion for cologne And I will tell you from a man who has a good collection. This is very unique..and I’ve never smelled Anything else like this so far Now that being said, this is a sent That not everyone is going to like because it is very sweet But the projection is beast mode The longevity is also beast mode This is very much a winter cologne If you are passionate about unique colognes then I feel you have to have this in your collection because it is truly and honestly a unique smell that there is nothing else that smells like this .. The price for what you get should be a crime It does not smell cheap at all… And I would definitely buy it again

Super happy to find this scent. It is spot on for the PDM scent. Great quality scent with 4-5 hours of close scent bubble. For the first hour or two a nice scent trail. Mature mane scent great for social and office in light application. Works for date night and intimate settings. Scent falls between Layton and Layton Exclusif.

This stuff smells horrible! I literally cannot understand how there are people giving this 5 stars... my GF told me to throw it in the trash.

Al Haramain Detour Noir Exclusif Is the big brother of Detoir Noir. The big brother a good 10 yrs older, stronger, wiser, seen the world and has come back. Pleasant but gruff, Intriguing but familiar. If Detour Noir could be described as playful, Noir exclusive you can tell is related but it doesn't play. Not overly potent, lasts long enough not outstay its welcome, It does change slightly from the initial blast into the dry down but not significantly. Its worth its price around 20/25£, I would not spend much more now that I have had my nose on it, I have just seen the seller has Aqua Dubai for 85£ I wont comment further on that other than that is hilarious... shop around people or decant beforehand. Al Haramain Detour Noir Exclusif is exaclt what I expected, it is not for every one, I like it and it suits me I am a 40+ male for context.
