Very nice device for me
This works very well for me. I use it daily. I only run it at 3 mph, so don't know about higher speeds. The handle is mandatory for me, for balance. It is heavy, so moving it around is problematic for me. I would not want to move it daily. Initially, the walking pad moved significantly off center and the procedures to adjust it did not work. They sent a replacement (fortunately I had kept the box!) and the replacement has not had the problem. (I think there was a way to fix the initial problem, but my grandson discovered it too late.) It is very quiet and the remote works just fine. I don't use the phone app. I wish I could walk at 3.3 mph, but will probably be able to move to the next increment of 3.5 in the future.

The compact size is amazing!
I previously bought one of the cheaper, basic walking pads from another brand. Within a few weeks it was having some issues and I couldn’t get a hold of their customer support. It sat unused for a long time. I finally got it working again, but it was just so bulky and I didn’t have a big enough office space to move it around every day, so it sat unused still. I researched these folding walking pads for a LONG time, taking into account all of the negative reviews mentioning the seam because I do get annoyed by uneven surfaces easily. I’ve had my R2 for a few weeks now, so here are my thoughts: Pros: the seam is not super noticeable unless you’re walking barefoot or with thinner shoes on. The folding ability is SO worth it though. I love that it stands upright, it barely takes up any space when I’m not using it. An unexpected feature: when you’re folding/unfolding, you can adjust and center the belt easily if needed. The belt moves smoothly and there’s not too much of a gap between it and the base. The shock absorption makes it comfortable enough for me to walk on it barefoot, which is my preferred state. Neutral notes: It is heavy, but if you can figure out your system for storage and moving it/setting it up, it’s easy to maneuver. I will say though my grab bar is incredibly hard to extend/push in when I’m trying to unfold/put away the treadmill. The levers that tighten it are very stiff. I usually opt to just leave them unlocked and I make sure to only move the treadmill using the sides of the grab bar. Perhaps they will loosen over time. Also, I’m not sure if it’s a malfunction with mine, but the physical power switch does absolutely nothing. Unless I unplug it, there’s always power going to the machine and it flashes a light on the screen. Cons: the app. I was not expecting the app to be basically a required aspect of this walking pad. I went back to reread the product description and it makes it seem as though the app is all optional. And I guess technically, it is. But you won’t be able to use the automatic mode without it, and the remote only changes the speed in .5 mph increments, if you want between those, you need the app. And if the app isn’t open and connected, there is an annoying flashing light on the treadmill. And speaking of the automatic mode: garbage. It probably took me 45 minutes to get through the dumb tutorial the app makes you go through, because the only way I could get the speed to increase was by practically stepping on/kicking the front frame, which is less than ideal. It’s fine though, I typically just walk at one speed anyway while I’m working at my desk. Overall, I purchased this to be able to walk at my desk while working, but I wanted the option of higher speeds, and of more compact, upright storage. This meets those needs wonderfully, despite my complaints. It’s a huge improvement on what I had, and overall I would still recommend it.

Great for Walking & Jogging - A game Changer!
I absolutely love my R2 Walking Pad! It has been a fantastic addition to my fitness routine. I'm a 40+ BW, weighing 133lbs, living in a small studio apartment and in need of a walking pad that would fit my fitness lifestyle. The folding feature makes it easy to store, which is great for small spaces. It was a little heavy to maneuver at first, but after consistent use (and getting stronger!), it’s much easier to handle. The walking pad runs smoothly and allows me to walk and even do a slow jog without any issues. The build quality feels sturdy, and I haven’t had any problems with functionality so far. I've been using it for about 3 months now. The setup was quick and easy, and I love that I can connect it to the app to turn it on/off and adjust settings effortlessly. It makes the experience even more convenient! If you’re looking for a sturdy, compact, and reliable walking pad, this is definitely worth it!

Good for increasing activity in office job.
Using it at work under my standing desk to get some exercise since I'm not as active with my new job. Works great and it's easy to set up. The speaker is quieter than other walking pads I've tried in the past which is nice since I don't want to be disruptive to my office neighbors (constant beeping from starting or stopping or changing speed). I don't like that it has a limit on walking speed when you first get it (unlocks higher speeds after the user walks 6 miles on it) but you can bypass this if you use the mobile app so it has an easy fix. Folds and unfolds well. You can feel the fold line when you walk on it but it's not really a problem as far as walking. Machine runs pretty quiet and I haven't had complaints about noise from co-workers. It's a bit on the heavy side but once set up, it's easy to move with it's wheels, just make sure the cord is unplugged from the unit so it can roll and then stand up against a wall when folded. Has a nice size walking area so I don't feel like I'm cramped into a small walking space (I'm 5'7" if that helps for perspective). Takes up little space once folded. Hard to determine durability since I just got it, but it feels quite durable and doesn't seem to be cheaply made.

Extremely Disappointing Experience
I typically don’t write reviews or complaints, but in this case, I feel compelled to share my experience due to the level of frustration and poor service I’ve encountered. I purchased a treadmill for $899, which initially worked fine for about a week. Unfortunately, the power switch at the back suddenly stopped working. For a product in this price range, I expected higher-quality parts and better reliability. When I reached out for support, I was disappointed to find that the only option available was to return the item and repurchase it—there was no option for a replacement. On top of that, there was no return pickup offered. I had to pack the 90-pound treadmill myself, rent a truck, and drop it off at a UPS store. According to the tracking information, the return was successfully delivered over a month ago. However, I have yet to receive my refund. I’ve had to make multiple calls over the course of a week just to try and get this resolved, and I continue to be given the runaround. It’s incredibly frustrating to be put in this situation—especially when the issue stemmed from a defective product, through no fault of my own. To make matters worse, I’ve missed an entire month of workouts because of this. It’s truly disappointing to see a company show such a lack of accountability and care for its customers.

Perfect for small apartment & home office
I've been using the R2 folding walking treadmill for a while now, and it's been an absolute game changer for my small apartment and home office setup. The R2's compact design makes it incredibly convenient to fold up and tuck away when not in use, saving valuable space. Despite its small footprint, it offers a quiet and robust walking experience, allowing me to effortlessly clock in around 4 miles almost every day. The build quality is top-notch, providing a stable and smooth walking surface. The user-friendly controls make it easy to adjust settings and track progress. Plus, it's surprisingly quiet, so I can use it during work calls without any disturbance. If you're looking for a practical and efficient way to stay active in limited space, the R2 is the perfect solution! 🏃♂️🏠 --- Is there anything else you'd like to share about your experience with the R2?

Solid treadmill with easy setup
The WalkingPad R2 Treadmill is a solid treadmill. We've been using it daily since we set it up and it has been performing as expected. I like that you can use either the remote or the app on your phone to control it. The app provides more control and more data, so if you want that, you'll want to use the app. The tread did seem to drift a bit upon initial setup, but after about 20 minutes of trial and error, tightening it via the provided hex wrench, it seems to be working well. It is easy to fold up and move, with my only suggestion for improving the product being that the wheels are pretty small, so it is slightly cumbersome to roll on carpet. Overall, I'd highly recommend the R2 Treadmill if you are looking for a good option for walking indoors. We don't really use it for running, but I've walked at a brisk pace and it seems to handle that well.

Awesome walking pad for walking, jogging or running!
Love my walking pad. I have been using it for several months and have been very happy with it. I don't use the app, and just use my Apple watch for workout and heart rate tracking. I routinely run 5K distances at anywhere from 4.5-5.5mph and have been very happy with the unit. It is a HEAVY device though. You really need two people to move it very far - like in from outside into the basement. No issues for me so far.
