Nice hitch , but was a pain to put on (not the hitch maker's fault)
So it took me 2 weekends to finally get this thing put on my SUV but its finally on and, other than that huge roadblock I ran into, it was simple to put in and seems like good quality. Still gonna give it 5 stars cause it seems like a good hitch and was at a really good price in comparison to the others that would fit my outlander sport; and the problem I had would have happened with any hitch I bought. The problem is 2 of the bolts that hold it to the frame actually thread into the frame itself. If you have an older model, like I do, and/or live in the rust belt, like I do; there's a good chance those threads are in really bad shape. I actually though they sent me the wrong bolts at first. The instructions do mention you may have to clean those weldnuts out...but they kinda downplay how bad it can be. I ended up going through about half a can of PB Blaster, a set of vinyl brushes, a set of brass brushes, and finally had to use a thread chaser set and a ton of elbow grease (and luck) to get those in. I had the same issue with both sides on my car. Again, that's not the hitch manufacturer's fault but just something to be aware of. Do yourself a favor and go to home depot or another hardware store ahead of time and buy a couple M10x1.25x25 bolts and see if you can get them to thread in (there's a bunch of youtube videos you can look up that will show you what holes/weldnuts they are). if you can't them to go in, just know you're gonna be in for a longer project. Other than those 2 really tough bolts, the rest of the install maybe took an hour overall. I put the mounting plates in first, like another reviewer mentioned doing, and then its pretty easy to just lift the actual hitch up there and put the final few bolts in to hold it to the mounting plates

Fits, but you need a step bit
Instructions were easy to follow. But this is not a no drill application. You do have enlarge 1 hole on each side to about 1-1/16" to get the plate through. It is in the instructions. Fits a 2025 crosstrek limited.

Good hitch Easy install
This hitch is assembled with two supports that allow for easy fastening to the car. Once the supports are in place, the main body of the hitch was able to be lifted into place and secured by one person (me, age 73).

Doesn’t fit 2016 Outlander Sport
We received this and I will say the quality of the product is phenomenal. However, it was about 3” too short to fit. We had to get steel plates to close the distance as we didn’t have time to wait for a new unit and possibly have the same issue.
