Not good but not bad either
This is not a bad kit at all, especially considering the price and the fact that there’s very little else like it. The packaging and instruction quality are familiar—somewhat similar, for the most part, to LEGO builds. There are some novel pieces, some very cool, that allow for interesting new build techniques. However, some seemingly incomplete blocks are left for you to assemble just to pad the block count—odd and frustrating, especially when they don’t fit together well. I ran into that a few times. Going back to instruction quality—there are several questionable and outright confusing build steps. I’ve built a lot of models, including a few with upwards of 10,000 pieces, and this is the first time I’ve had to use glue to make the build work. Maybe it’s just how my particular pieces fit, but after 30 minutes of trying, there was no way I was going to succeed in a specific step without glue. Most disappointing was that the engine simply didn’t function as it should have. I suspected this all along—the cylinders kept catching early in the build. I adjusted all the rods and checked fittings, but no matter what I did, it would still catch. It rotated manually a few cycles but would eventually seize—either due to the gears themselves, the cylinder housing, or the gear shaft. The list goes on. I pressed on, but it got worse when I attached the electric motor—the build spontaneously deconstructed one of the cylinder heads. Never mind that this particular one had never caught before. I packed it up to be returned, feeling really disappointed about the six or so hours I wasted. All in all, it’s an easy and straightforward build. All the parts were present and packaged properly. But the instructions and finicky construction leave a lot to be desired. I don’t think I’ll be buying Mould King again.

Tricky, delicate & a challenge.
Thanks for this 1214 piece 'Lego-compatible' aircraft engine! A fairly small box holds our four numbered stages, instructions, a motor and battery box, two stickers and a few other bits. The battery box requires 6 AAA batteries (Not Included). As a person that builds hundreds of sets, I can say this was a tricky one. Simply because of how marginal & tenuous some of the connections and methods of construction are. In the video, it is a little noisy, as something is too close together somewhere, but it does still work at least. The instructions were mostly fine, asking us for the near impossible aside! In the last few steps, just before the end, they ask us to pop on the cowling after a gear wheel is inserted. It is best to reverse that, put the cowling on, then the gear wheel, or omit the gear wheel altogether depending on how much axel you have left available. Overall, this set was a real challenge because of how delicate it was & how prone it is to come back apart. As one of the pics show. And that is preventable with better design, so I dropped a star for that. It was still fun, but that can turn to frustration very easily with this set. Thanks again!

Realistic set
This is such a cool and realistic aircraft engine set that's perfect for aircraft collectors. It was pretty easy to build but definitely is better suited for teens and adults. The engine is pretty large after it's built so the price is definitely worth it.

Looks cool but not the easiest model to assemble.
Very difficult to assemble. Looks cool once built but this is not for someone who is just starting building sets. Not as nice as the name brand block sets. Took using hammer and pliers to assemble some of the parts. Once fully built, it rotates but makes a very loud noise no matter what we do to adjust it. Instructions are not clear in some areas. Took my 18 year old son about 8 hours to fully build the model.
