Solid Adapter – Works Great with My Ford Lightning!
Picked up the A2Z Typhoon PRO V2 NACS to CCS1 adapter for my 2024 Ford Lightning and it’s been awesome so far. Installation and removal are super easy—as long as you follow the directions and let the truck do a bit of the work during the process. The design is well thought-out and user-friendly. I’ve only used it in colder weather so far, and after a solid 30-minute charge session the adapter was warm, but nothing alarming. I’ll be curious to see how it handles in the summer, but so far, so good. It is on the heavier side, but honestly, that just screams durability and build quality to me—not a downside at all. Considering this is basically the same adapter Ford offers, the price feels totally fair. Highly recommend it for anyone needing a reliable fast charging solution for their Lightning!

It is well built, is easy to connect and disconnect and works as advertied
Recently I acquired a Ford Lightning pick up truck and wanted to have reliable charging while traveling. Tesla superchargers seem to be the most abundant and reliable charging systems. This adapter converts Tesla (NACS or North American Charging Standard) to CCS1 (Combined Charging System 1) which is the fast direct current charging outlet on my vehicle. I believe the Ford Lightning fast charges at about 350 volts DC and draws up to 500 amps. My connection to a Tesla version 4 supercharger was simple, I was able to do with with the Tesla app from the Android store, coupling was easy but the cables from the charger are a bit short. Fast charging is amazingly quick compared to home AC charging. The cables from the charger snapped in the coupler snapped into the Ford, and after charging, I was able to disconnect from the truck with a simple press of a button then from the Tesla charging cable with a bit of a stronger press of the same button. Charging topped off at about 180KW and after a model S parked to the adjacent adapter my charging speed went down to 115KW. Upon removal the adapter was warm, but not hot. It ran the last 5 to 6 minutes of the charge at 115KW so it may have cooled down a bit. I also like the case this comes in.

Reliable, Solid Adapter
I’ve been using the A2Z Typhoon PRO V2 NACS to CCS1 adapter with my Chevy EV, and it works flawlessly. The build quality is excellent — feels very durable and well-made. I’ve charged multiple times at different DC fast chargers with zero issues. This adapter is a must-have if you need NACS to CCS1 compatibility. Worth every penny. Highly recommended!

Works with Equinox EV.
Wow. I was pleasantly surprised with this product. I have Chev Equinox EV and used it to charge at a Tesla SuperCharger 250kW charger. I only charged 10% this time. Just wanted to verify it works with my car. The screen shot, Tesla App shortly after starting the charge process, shows charging at 100kW. I started at 10:00 pm but the car shows full charge at 11:00pm. So, one hour for 50% charge gain? The car display also shows charging at 365 mi/hr gain which would mean full charge in under one hour or 50% in one half hour? So, I have to try this again to understand which is correct.

Perfect for my Chevy Bolt
Being the owner of a Chevy bolt and learning of access to the Tesla supercharger Network was great news. I was unable to activate or order the charging adapter through the my Chevrolet app and decided after reading good reviews on this product that I would go this route. It works perfect and I didn't have to do any kind of setup in the my Chevrolet app. Just download the Tesla app. Pull up and you're ready to get started.. obviously if you have a 2019 or older bolt like myself, you need to get the firmware updated at the dealership with no cost. Obviously the bolt is limited and how quickly it can charge but having additional locations to be able to charge is a game changer. Update after a Dec 2024 road trip from VA to TN, charged about 50-75% if my stops at Tesla chargers and not a single issue (aside from the bolts PEAK 55kw charging rate).

one of the few trusted adapters
Works great, a little difficult to get off. Fits on my Equinox to Tesla charge stations. Good weight and build quality.

NACS side too tight
My only complaint is that the tolerances on the NACS side are too tight. It can sometimes be very difficult to remove the NACS charge cable from the adapter, and has led to some awkward dancing and struggling in public at the charger trying to disconnect. Otherwise excellent, beefy construction and works great!
