GENTLY DOES IT AND KEEP IT UPRIGHT!
A nifty little item. Make sure you keep it in the standing position, place your ampoule (with the dot facing front) in the opener still in the standing position, don't forget to flick down any medication into the main part of the ampoule. Close it and just bend it away from you. If the ampoule is small it will have safely slipped down to the bottom (don't panic) keeping it still in the standing position gently open up top and bottom and gently pick it out, make sure you keep away from the' top' of the ampoule where it has been snapped open. You may find the closures are a bit stiff at first, just gently prize open, it will get easier.

Practise first…
Bought as my partner has Addisons Disease. First one snapped (ampule) in wrong place. Had a go with some out of date and it’s easy when you get into it. Far better than being in a crisis and not being able to snap the glass!

A bit flimsy
Seems a bit flimsy plastic. For such a simple device it wasn't that easy to use, ampoule not held securely at all. Took several attempts to break ampoule.

The ampoule just shattered. Bits of glass everywhere and bright yellow B12 all over the floor!
