Starring Timothée Chalamet (Dune, Wonka) and directed by Luca Guadagnino (Challengers, Call Me By Your Name), Bones and All follows 16-year-old Maren Yearly on a cross-country as she searches through dark, unseen corners of America to find a father she's never met in an attempt to understand why she has killed a series of friends.Bonus Content:4K Presentation from the Original ElementsPresented in Dolby VisionA Look InsideLuca Guadagnnino: The Vision of Bones and AllMeet LeeMeet MarenOutsiders In Love Review: Not what I expected, but I fell in love with it - I went into the film with zero expectations, foreknowledge, or understanding, and I had no idea what was going to be in store. That being said, the film was absolutely nothing like how I thought it would be when I first started watching. Despite what some reviews said, it was beautifully filmed, wonderfully acted, and just fantastic to watch as a standalone movie. my only criticism is one scene where the acting seemed really forced and kind of awkward, but maybe that was intentional, it was sort of an awkward conversation going on (Maren is talking to her grandmother, trying to get info on her mom) but other than that, it was just great. all that paired with the masterful soundtrack by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross was just everything I could have ever hoped for. It was beautiful, disturbing, shocking, sweet, heartbreaking, and heartwarming all at the same time, and was some of the best two hours I have spent watching a movie in a long time. Review: Tragically beautiful love story - I watched this with zero expectations and was very surprised by how much I loved it. This is a violent, gory film about young cannibals in love, but I was even more shocked by how tender and romantic it was. It's one of the most interesting and daring films I've seen all year and perhaps in recent years. Superb performances from the two leads, great direction, cinematography is beautiful, and the score is sublime. You can't help but sympathize with Maren and Lee (for me, particularly with the latter, and there's a scene with the two of them on a hill that breaks my heart with its tenderness and vulnerability). I couldn't stop thinking about this movie after I've watched it. While there's no doubt some people will be put off by the cannibalism and gore (though I thought it was no more violent than most modern war movies), I found the film to be a touching and compassionate symbolism of the people who are outcasted by our society that does not accept who they are as individuals. That for me is the beauty of this film and the film's true message.

I really wanted to like this
I like most of Luca Guadagnino's movies, so I had high hopes for this. From the trailers, I knew the cinematography was great again, but the movie, in general, did not impress me. I thought it was boring and the development of the romance did not seem organic to me, maybe it was the pacing or something else. However, Mark Rylance was a delight as always. I could watch him act all day. Then again, I did not get his role really as an antagonist..I guess they just needed one. Also, I had hoped for more Michael Stuhlbarg..one of my other favorites.

Superior Acting and Directing
I'm 57 years old. It's been years since I've seen a brand new movie that is outstanding. This one floored me. It's MAGNIFICENT. The two young lead actors, Timothee and Taylor both have an amazing future in front of them in Cinema because these two displayed a level of acting ability that is far above anything else out that is out there right now. I loved their chemistry, humanity and frailty as they struggle to find a place in society for them. I cried my eyes out at the ending (won't spoil it) and it was all so emotional, so raw because of the astounding talent of these two actors. The music soundtrack is amazing too! Can't recommend this movie enough. I've seen it 3 times and I know I will be watching it again.

Ummm... Wow? Not a good wow.
I think this is another one of those movies that was an artistic bet between two millionaires. "You won't have that movie! Oh yes I will!" This reminds me of a movie that was built completely off of the ending. They want to make you "feel", but they want you to tell your friends about how "deep" your feeling on the movie was. It's less entertaining, more artistic, but the kind of artistic where the "artistry" is in the shock value of the fact that the artist was willing to blend to live goldfish and paint with their remains. Is this movie interesting? No. Is this movie engaging? Nope, not that either. It's a story that brings you in for a second and you're like, "can this actually be good?" Unfortunately by the time you realize it is not good, the movie is over and you are wishing you could chew your own arm off instead... No pun intended. My son, who is a very different generation than I am, really wanted to see this. When it ended, he said, "that can't be the ending? Oh my God dad, I am so sorry we watched that." I said it was just good to spend time with him, but what I meant was, "I thought this was a zombie movie, but it was not, and it was truly terrible." Maybe I've curbed your expectations and you will enjoy it. But set your bar low, really low. The story was stale, the acting was ok, and the premise was literally born on the planet of uninteresting, smack dab in the middle of the waste of time galaxy. I guess a bargain bin Sally Field look alike made an appearance and that was interesting for 30 seconds. If I had the budget these people had, I would truly make a much better movie and I literally have no training.

Such a Beautiful Movie
There are so many things to love about this movie. The main one being Taylor Russell. She was the absolute star of this movie, I couldn't take my eyes off her. She gave a truly stunning performance that is deserving of every award! Timothee Chalamet (playing Lee) was a perfect pairing to Russell's Maren. They had beautiful chemistry and were able to perfectly capture the feeling of being young and lost in the world. The cinematography is also breathtaking. You could take away the dialogue and I would still sit through all 2 hours of the movie just watching these incredible shots. Plus, the writing was incredibly engaging and thoughtful! I also need to mention the phenomenal score composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, which was absolutely gorgeous! There is so much more I could say about this wonderful movie but it would probably turn into an essay All in all, this is an exceptional movie that I highly recommend!
