Did extensive research to make sure I landed on a unit that had CarPlay but that wasn’t total crap and wasn’t slow on animations and stuff. This unit works as well as new cars that have CarPlay integrated, it’s really nice and zero lag! Before this I had a single din unit (also JVC) on my 2012 Corolla, and this new unit actually upgraded the sound too! Integrated mic seems to work really well as people on the other end of the call say I sound very clear. I do miss a volume knob, but the volume arrows are very responsive and work well. We ran out of time but will be installing a camera in the next week or so, but overall this is an excellent Apple CarPlay unit and can totally recommend it to anyone looking for one. Just keep in mind apple car play will only work through USB and it is not wireless here. Update 1/25/2024: Been using this since June of 2023 and it has been great. Personally I don’t care about it not having wireless Airplay, works perfectly fine with type c cable on my iPhone 15 Pro. Wanted to add that the quality of the screen is really good compared to so many cars with airplay from previous years. Colors are just more vibrant and it looks good, and screen is very very responsive. Can’t recommend this enough! My 2012 Corolla feels like a 2024 car!

This stereo works great. The UI is responsive. Android Auto works great. It only has one little "nanny state nag screen" when you put it in reverse telling you to "observe your surroundings". That's a little annoying and can't be disabled, but it's relatively small and can be dismissed with a tap. You can just ground that little wire that turns off half the settings when you're not in park and then your passenger can do whatever they'd like with the radio even if you're going down the road. I like that it'll let you view your camera while driving if, for instance, you want to keep a quick glance at your trailer handy. Well worth the money.

I bought this as it's a known brand and not a random junk one, I have had nothing but problems since day one. often when plugged up with car play it freezes and resets over and over again, no wiring issues at all. I wish I would had gotten the cheaper Android units instead of this, really not happy with this radio

Installed this in my 07 wrangler. Install was quick but wiring to the harness (not included) was a bit tricky. Was able to follow along with a few YouTube videos and figure it out after some trial and error. It looks slick, classes up the old car a lot The unit is a significant update in sound quality and convenience compared to my last stereo (aftermarket kenwood). Bluetooth pairs quickly, when corded Apple CarPlay works very well. Only critique is that calls can be hard to hear even when volume is maxed out, although this probably isn’t an issue in other cars. Wranglers have absurdly loud cabins

Pretty easy to install. If you happen to have a BMW/Mercedes/VW/Porsche - or other car that has an always on 12V+, make sure you rewire one that only comes on with the ignition. Unlike old radios, the computer in this runs even when the display is off, and it will drain your battery. Took me awhile to figure that out. Loads of features and sound enhancement options. Wish that I could have a solid background (black); wish that there was less glare on the screen in bright light - glad that my steering wheel controls still do the volume, as I dont like capacitive controls for volume. Overall, I would buy this again in a heartbeat. Very nice. Good sound quality.
