Neon Genesis Evangelion, Vol. 4, (Vol. 10-12)

The book it’s self is amazing, it has cool art and it arrived in such good condition and also arrived a day early. Highly recommend 😽🫶

Neon Genesis Evangelion volume 4 concludes the anime adaptation and begins the adaptation of the end of evangelion movie. Same as before the manga is similar to the anime but different in its presentation as it is adaptation. Now we get to the highlight of the manga and that is Kaworu Nagisa the fifth child. A fan favorite and a popular ship as well Kaworu x Shinji. I’ll be honest I never understood the hype for Kaworu he shows up for a good minute and leaves in the anime. Well, here in the manga they actually got me to care about Kaworu as he sticks around longer than his anime counterpart and he gets more development in his character. Same as Rei Ayanami in the previous volume got more development in author Yoshiyuki Sadamoto’s take. The art as always perfectly captures the characters and while the action scenes do take a back seat the scenes that are still here are fantastic. The evangelion manga continues on delivering and exceeding my expectations. In many ways it comes out more developed than the original anime. A must for Eva fans to get in the manga.

I finished rewatching Evangelion not that long ago and I wanted to see how the story was different and how things played out in the manga so I decided to buy the whole series. I know I could have just read it online for free but you see, I’m a physical copy kind of guy AND I’m bad at spending money. That’s why I’m here but back to the subject matter. The mangas came in on time. No damage on them and I read them within a span of a week or two (cause a guy can get busy) overall 10 out of 10 must buy if you love the series.

High-Quality seller of the Evangelion Manga. FYI: This manga series IS NOT a shot-for-shot copy of the classic anime. The manga author expresses this clearly and it is fascinating to see the character of Shinji projected slightly differently and from the author's unique point of view. Lovely insights from the anime and manga alike. Informative and entertaining. I love having such a classic on my shelf!
