Feels great!
I have curly hair so I don't brush my hair and that can cause dandruff. This tool definitely gets rid of dandruff! The first time I used it I was just sitting on the couch watching TV and massaging my scalp with it. It felt great and was comfortable to hold. After washing my hair the dandruff was noticeably gone. I have added this to my self care regimen. Must try. Worth the purchase.

This, is going to make a difference!
Background: Perimenopausal woman (obviously), sensitive scalp Bought this after reading an article in The Sun (don't judge :)) where a woman combined the scalp massager with rosemary oil to remedy hair loss, which I wanted to try. The Scalp Massager was just what I wanted and as described; some of the alternatives looked like they would be to hard and harsh on my scalp, and the variety of spikes looked like they would stimulate more than just one type of spikes that I had seen on other products. The material was the perfect strike between soft/hard, but that is for my scalp being quite sensitive, and my hair fine and too sparse for my liking (this is what I want to remedy). If you have thick hair and a scalp that is not sensitive, then perhaps you are looking for something else. As for my scalp it is not very greasy, and in fact when I went to a Japanese Hair salon they concluded that my scalp did not need any detoxing or such. I did damage it in 2008 when I dyed my hair at home, it has been weirdly sensitive ever since. Since hitting perimenopause my hair started to thin quite noticeably in the front and in my "cowlicks". I realized just how bad it was when I sat in my hairdressers chair with light coming from above; I could see scalp, not just hair. Panic ensued. I have tried biotin supplements, no idea if they work, I forget to take them regularly, and they give me acne. Not a great tradeoff. I was a little apprehensive having read some reviews where they said their hair got tangled and pulled out, but it turns out that by not moving it around like crazy, that won't be an issue. That means, it is not a brush, you are not supposed to drag it over your scalp. Instead press and lift is the best way to use. That means you press down the Scalp Massager and in circular motions almost stay in place, with a baby movement of perhaps 1-2 cm, no more. Once you are done in that area, you lift the Scalp Massager and place it in the adjoining area and repeat. Do this all over. I do this while in the shower after having shampooed my hair with a mix of shampoo and essential oil of rosemary. I stopped when my arms got tired, which was no more than 3 minutes. Afterwards I could "feel" my scalp, which was unusual. But it is as if it has come alive. Tingling is too strong a word, but it is in that direction. As for its efficiency, it is too early to tell, but I immediately bought one for my friend with scalp issues. And an unforeseen benefit was that my hair which has been slicked down close to my scalp for a year or two, all of a sudden wasn't!! Normally I try to get some volume in there, to absolutely zero avail. Didn't see that one coming. I anticipate that I will use this with shampoo and rosemary oil twice a week, and even if the "only" benefit is my newly found hair volume, that is plenty!
