Chai Lai Angels: Dangerous Flowers

Let's unpack what we have here. An incoherent plot, bad acting, inept fight scenes and no sex or nudity. The first 3 items listed are vital ingredients in any bad movie. The lack of sex and nudity usually means failure in these movies. Hell, there's not even a kiss. This is a rare instance where what you DON'T see turns out to be kind of hot. The female leads just get soaked in water several times and surprisingly my inner 12 year old said: That's totally hot! The saving grace in this movie is that everyone seems to know it's crap but they go for it and have tons of fun anyway. The good stuff: bad dancing while scantily clad? check. The aforementioned water soaking leading to see thru clothing? Check.Nonexistent plot? Yep. A little kid who kicks ass ? You know it. All the angels were attractive in different ways and played their parts with a sense of fun. Fun is the key word here. None of it should have worked but it does because nobody in the movie takes any of it seriously. Just go with the flow and you will not regret it. Watch it. In parting, my inner 12 year old wants to say to the angel named Rose: Dang! And thank you. Sir Mix-Alot don't lie.

This movie is so, so , sooooooooo corny!!!!!! It's only half as serious as the current Charlie's Angels movies with Lucy Liu and the gang if that tells you anything. An awkward scene where a nine year old girl beats up about 8 trained mobsters as only one example. It's a goofy, silly ride that at times makes no sense. The only real redeeming factor is that there are a bunch of hot girls as eye candy.

It's rare that I can't finish a movie, but I honestly could not finish thiseven thought the action was pretty good and the ladies were pretty pretty.There mega-babes kicking backside and looking real sexy doing it.How can you go wrong with that. I'm not sure, but this movie does.If I were to advise the movie-makers I would say thattoo much of a good thing can be a bad thing andless can be more.If they had contemplated those two natural truths,this movie could have been a camp classic,but as it is, its just exploitation in the true sense of the wordand not worth watching.I was really disappointed because I had high hopes for it.

An Tai take on Charlie's Angles. The film is made in a very tounge and cheek way. It dosen't take it's self seriously and you shouldn't either. Wow, this was one of the wackiest movies I've ever seen. Anyone who found this movie stupid is right, it's just a matter of whether you like this sort of thing or not. I'm a HUGE fan of crazy Asian movies, and this one fits the bill. And if it's one thing I'm a sucker for, it's ass-kicking chicks.Chai Lai Angels is a direct knockoff of the Charlie's Angels movies (music and all), only with (of course) more martial arts, more campiness (make that downright silliness), more blood, more swearing, more shots to the crotch, more cross-dressing, more tanks, more underwater action, more cross-eyed villains, more faux-Jagermeister bottles, plus a joke stolen from Top Secret!!I guess another difference is, all the Angels seem to do is FAIL missions!! I mean, they wouldn't have even rescued the little girl without the secret agent. Incredible. In the stinger, they fire hundreds of rounds, and don't hit one target. Yet another difference is these five actresses seem to do all their own stunts. Loved it when they had to change into hot outfits (including tall high-heeled boots), while driving, to go get into a fight!Ok, I've never seen grabbing someone's ass to cause superhuman strength in a movie before. That's good stuff. In the extras, the director is interviewed, and states that this movie has a serious ecological message. Message lost!! It's a fun movie.

This film made m love Asian women that much more. Beautifulh women. Kept it classy too. No nudity or too much revealing outfits.It's a silly movie not to be taken serious. I mean they kidnap a little girl and put her in a room with a laptop. A blind woman end up saving everyone. You just have to laugh. It's a comedy film. Not much dialogue but plenty of action. Entertaining Asian rendition of the famous "Charlie's Angels". Like the American voyages into this story one mustn't expect too much. In no way offensive or challenging it is suitable fodder for younger viewers.
