Roland Sun-Dried Tomatoes Strips, 1.1kg

Very rich and flavorful. Skip those oil versions and buy these.

I've tried several, and I'm becoming a fan of Roland products. These strips seem to be made from the leftover pieces that are not fit to be sold intact. They are a good bit cheaper in this form, and I prefer to cut them into strips anyway, so I think it is worth sorting through a few blemishes. The texture is chewy but firm, not mushy like raisined tomatoes which come packed in oil, not completely dry and shelf stable either. The flavor is bright but deep, like the vibrant color. They add an instant punch of both to a wide variety of dishes. They're great straight from the bag, even as a snack, and they are even better rehydrated in marinades or fresh tomato juice. I consider this product to be a staple in my kitchen.

This is a good product. Dry enough and firm but no hard at all.

This used to be a good product but my last order was wet and filled with a nasty taste. Of course it's not returnable because it's food, but I'll have to get sun dried tomatoes somewhere else cuz this was nasty.
