Beautiful guitar. I was returning it because the price dropped 19% right after it was delivered. I had opened the box but did not remove the protective covering on the pick guard, or the pickups. I wanted to hear what it sounded like, so I began to tune it. Right away I noticed the low E string buzzed and could not get it to stop. Looked over some of the reviews, and online info. The string was not hitting any high frets, and I was not going to try and adjust the nut or the bridge. I am not a guitar tech and expected for the most part for the guitar to have been set up and tested before shipping. The cord input jack was also defective, when the cord was inserted, it would pop out a quarter inch. On top of all that as I turned the guitar upside down to compare it to the new one I ordered. Something moved and thumped up against some wooden part inside the body of the guitar. My guess is it was some electrical component. I purchased the same guitar from the same seller at the discounted price. This time the box had been opened, and resealed. It may have been a return like the one I am sending back. However, the new one had no string buzz, and no other issues so far. I would recommend this seller The Guild Store, but I would also Recommend that the seller check the guitars before shipping them out. Seller, feel free to call me if you have any questions.

塗装不良で返品しましたが、ギター自体はオシャレでした。 セミハードケース付ですが、とにかく豪華なギターでした。

Product arrived on time in a fairly beat up cardboard box with loose bubble wrap. Once the guitar was removed a rattle sound could be heard of what appears to be 3 pieces of the interior body. Body was covered in dust even though plastic film was placed on glossy parts. Without playing at all yet the 5th string broke. All other strings just needed tuning. The sound is great but for the price, I’m fairly disappointed with the purchase. 1 Week update to 2 stars I replaced all the strings and found the pickups were not securely attached, a screw is missing that covers the hole where the head and the neck come together, the wires are exposed for the tone and volume dials and the pickup selector came completely disconnected while playing and just spins freely. I would expect these types of issues with a $100 guitar but this is ridiculous at this price.

I'm a Guild player primarily - I have several from multiple decades (Starfires 2 - 5, Bluesbirds, acoustics, anywhere from 1973 - modern builds). I read all the reviews and took a chance on this one (unique pickup configuration, switches, tones). Unfortunately, I got one with some factory problems: after getting some fret buzz, I took it to a luthier for a setup. He identified multiple quality issues. 1. The part of the guitar where the neck joins the body was uneven, making adjusting the intonation impossible (pick the range of frets you wish to be in tune). 2. The buzz I had heard/felt wasn't from the frets or the action - it apparently came from a non-serviceable part inside the guitar. 3. The "Guildsby" was not seated properly, so the strings didn't align perfectly with the saddles. I wanted to love the guitar, as I do my other Guilds - but had to return it when the luthier couldn't correct the issues. I know of people who got lucky and had none of the problems I mentioned, but I'd just say to be sure you play this one before you buy it. Incidentally, this guitar was the first Guild I've had to return. So maybe luck of the draw?
