Even if it were to break tomorrow, I would still give this product 5 stars just for the handful of peaceful pilling sessions my hospice dog and I have been treated to since it arrived yesterday morning. I was getting so overwhelmed with prying my poor dog's jaws open for 10 whole seconds and struggle to shove my hand to the back his throat several times a day, scraping my hand on teeth in the process and causing him obvious discomfort and confusion at this reoccurring ritual. This isn't a machine, and it won't magically pill your dog for you. It doesn't launch the pill and won't propel it down their throat, if you simply aim. It's a thin, long stick that your pet can lightly chomp down on while gently releasing the pill down their throat. Please pair this with unsalted butter or coconut oil to coat the pill to help prevent your pet from gagging. I do this and my dog barely even notices the pill at all. It does best with medium-small capsules, but if you have the right kind of capsule, this will be a miracle worker for you.

As a pet owner who’s always dreaded pill time, this Pet Pill Shooter has made a huge difference in my routine with my dog/cat. The slim, syringe-style design makes it easy to get the pill far enough back in the mouth that my pet actually swallows it instead of spitting it out. The two soft silicone tips are gentle, so I don’t feel like I’m jabbing or scratching sensitive gums or the back of the throat, which was always a concern with harder plastic tools.

the pill popper doesn't work for chewables, when you put the tablet in the end it crumbles it up I dont know what I can use for our Shih Tzu who has a gag problem, and throws up sometimes its never a pleasant experience for him & he hates chewables I might have to talk to his vet about maybe a shot or a one he can take only 2-3 times a year

Did not use because of other reasons but I did not find the trigger to be any more user friendly than much cheaper options. It did not make the pill giving any quicker or easier.

Probably works well but tips too big for my cat's pills
