£48 reduced from £60 at time of review I’m in the process of upgrading my home network with Cat 7 cables and 2.5Gbps adapters on my computers and NAS so needed to swap out my old 1G switch, wow what a difference! Most of the time I’m just connecting to the internet (which is a 1Gig connection via Three, which I can’t recommend enough!). Anyway this thing is brilliant, no bottle necks, full 1G to the internet and a noticeable difference connecting to my NAS, everything just worked seamlessly and so fast. Streaming my Plex & Jellyfin at full res has been no problem, and backing up my computers and working off the NAS has been a dream come true, super happy with this switch, highly recommend! Plug and play, works fine, computer connected at 2500Mbps. Now I need more 2500Mbps devices but at least I have plenty of throughput.

I bought the BrosTrend 8-Port 2.5Gb Ethernet Switch to upgrade my network and take full advantage of multi-gig speeds across my devices – including a NAS, gaming PC, and a couple of Wi-Fi 6E access points. It has exceeded expectations in every way. ✅ Pros: True 2.5Gb on All Ports: No shared bandwidth or bottlenecks. I’m seeing full 2.5Gbps speeds between all connected devices using standard Cat5e/Cat6 cables. Silent Operation: Fanless design means it's completely silent – perfect for a home office or living room. Unmanaged Simplicity: No configuration needed. Just plug in and it works. Solid Build: Sturdy metal housing with good weight to it. Feels durable and stays cool even under constant use. Improved Latency for Gaming: I noticed slightly lower ping and faster transfer speeds when gaming or moving large files to/from my NAS. ❌ Cons: No LEDs for individual link speed (just activity), which would’ve been a nice touch. Slightly bigger footprint than a standard gigabit switch, but nothing extreme. This BrosTrend switch is a great way to future-proof your network without jumping to full 10G infrastructure. I can't speak to the longevity of this switch yet but it does get noticeably warm to the touch during use. Not an issue so far though and it's not dangerously hot. Given that it's quite compact though that's a fine trade-off. It's good value for the 8 port version I got and reaches the advertised speed. Doesn't cause any link speed negotiation issues. No noise, plug and play, as an unmanaged switch should be.

Nice, small hub. Really convenient as it sits on my desk and allows me to plug in and out random PCs I work with. I like that it is small, white, silent and relatively cheap. A more industrial one or a metalic one on my desk would be too distracting. Works at full 2.5GbE speed.

I had no issues connecting several devices and getting full throughput on all the ports. I've dealt with much worse from big name companies at a higher price point. Not bad, not bad at all.

This device feels premium and of high quality. It has allowed me to wire all my devices with speeds up to 2.5gb. Has holes on nearly all the sides for amazing cooling. Functions perfectly and doesnt knock any speed off or add any latency, such a smart device!

La cosa migliore è che è davvero **plug & play**: l’ho collegato alla corrente, ho inserito i cavi e **ha funzionato subito**, senza app, senza configurazioni, senza complicazioni. Per chi non ha competenze tecniche è esattamente quello che serve. In uso quotidiano lo switch è **silenziosissimo** (non ha ventola) e non scalda in modo preoccupante. Da quando l’ho installato la rete è **stabile**: niente disconnessioni, niente “capricci”. E soprattutto ho la sensazione di sfruttare meglio la mia linea, perché i dispositivi cablati vanno fluidi anche quando più persone usano internet insieme. Altro punto a favore: è **compatto**, sta bene su una scrivania e volendo si può anche **mettere a parete**, quindi si integra facilmente senza ingombrare. La **garanzia a vita** è una bella tranquillità: è un prodotto che compri una volta e ti dimentichi. Se hai una **connessione 2,5 Gb** e ti servono più porte LAN senza complicarti la vita, questo switch è un acquisto centrato. Consigliato.
