Good flavor for a diabetics

These fruit snacks taste shaving. I've always loved Welch's Fruit Snacks but we're trying to eat a little healthier and trying to cut back on sugars so I was excited to find these. My husband and I split a bag the first night and a little while later felt horribly bloated. Both of us had issues that go along with bloating, if you know you know. We've been adding a lot of fiber to our diet do we diffuse that was just par for course. The next night, after dinner we split another bag. This time we had only had chicken breast and a baked potato for dinner, so no super fiber foods. Within an hour of eating the fruit snacks, we were miserably bloated and blasting each other out of the living room. Tonight, I opened a bag and left it on my desk whilst I worked on a painting. Absent mindedly I ate the entire thing, and oh how I regret it! Be very mindful of how many of these you eat. If you're one of those people that like to graze or snack or of boredom, these probably aren't a good thing to keep around.

Can eat a bag in one sitting

I’m low carb, but every so often I need a chewy candy. These are my go-to gummy candy. Flavorful and satisfying. Have bought 3x.

I've tried a LOT of different sugar-free sweets, and these have a better flavor and texture than any other jelly candies I've tried. Most are too hard or chewy (I suspect because they add fiber to reduce the net carbs). There is also no noticeable "sugar substitute" aftertaste. The package includes a warning that "Excess consumption may have a laxative effect. Individual tolerance will vary. We suggest starting with half serving or less." The package also states it contains 3 servings. I think it would make more sense for them to reduce the quantity so each package is 1 serving. Anyone watching their caloric intake will understand portion control is just a fact of life. While I did not experience the laxative side effect they mentioned, I did notice significant gas about 2-5 hours after eating them. This happened every time I ate them (over 4 times), so be warned. It will give me pause when making snack choices because I wouldn't want to have these on movie night with friends over, and I definitely wouldn't recommend eating this after having other foods for dinner (such as brussel sprouts)! Otherwise, I hope you enjoy!
