Hot pot
This is the best soup pot I have ever owned. Heats fast for tea and coffee water. Easy to clean. Takes up very little room. It's the only pot I use...I have two.best gift I've ever given.

Compact, surprisingly decent, priced right
We bought this hot pot for a camper on the go. We were pleasantly surprised to see how spot-on the advertising is: It boils water in about 2~3 minutes which is great for tea, and keeps it boiling long enough for a package of ramen. The diameter is perfect for the standard sized and circular ramen bricks; "fancy" ramen that is a little larger you kind of have to finesse in while boiling but it softens up fast and works well. Even though we stir it anyway, the heating area seems even as we can watch the noodles circulate from top to bottom while boiling. We haven't made anything terribly messy in it except for one dish that was designed to simmer and boil down to preparedness. It was a little rough cleaning burny bits off the hot plate (don't forget, do NOT use metal to clean it) but they are completely gone without a trace after a few boils so I can't complain much. I was a little concerned about the plastic nature of the pot itself in the beginning, but after a nearly 3-digit number of things prepared, it is holding up very well. Other comments about the steam vent's placement are accurate. Seems like common sense, but don't put your hand over it or your hand will scald. I guess they could've moved them to the front of the pot for ergonomics. *shrug* I'm not sure if it's this model or just our hotpot or what, but for some reason we only get about 5 minutes of constant water boil out of it before the hotpot clicks off. This isn't a huge issue but gets a little weird when making mac&cheese and you spend a minute *not* boiling the water, then things go back to normal. Speaking of mac&cheese, note that the size is 32oz. Typical instructions say you'll need 6 cups of water (ie. 48oz) so don't expect to be able to do wonders! Last but not least, we are thankful for the temp control, but it doesn't seem to provide a true variance in temperature. It's just a variable smooth non-clicky knob, seems either "warm" or "boil" are the useful positions as an end-user and in-between is just...there. Bottom line: Everyone seems to be paying twice as much for hotpots designed to do what this one does, and the other ones seem to have weird issues. Despite its shortcomings , we have been happy with this hotpot and would buy another one in a heartbeat.

Decent value for the money
I bought this for $20 with the intention of using it to heat up soup. I would not recommend it for that purpose, as the 'non-stick surface' is not very non-stick. Every single time I've made soup I've had to scrape and soak to try and get the gunk off. However, while I was waiting for this to arrive, I noticed a hole had rusted through my metal water kettle. So, I've also been using it to heat up water for coffee and tea. It is so fast and does a great job. I also imagine it would be great for cooking ramen or pasta, but I haven't tried it for that yet. A downside of it though, if it's plugged in, it's on. The selector goes from Warm to Boil - there is no Off. So, I probably wouldn't recommend buying this if your a forgetful type person that might leave it plugged in. It works for me though because it boils water so fast, I just stand there and wait, and immediately unplug it when I pour the water, so I've kind of gotten in the habit of it. While it does have it's drawbacks, I consider it a 4 Star, taking the price in consideration.

Best Electric Kettle
If I could give this kettle/hot pot 10 stars. I would! I use this multiple times daily for hot water, tea, soup, hot chocolate, ramen, and more. Its size, quick heating, easy cleanup, and comfortable handle make this versatile kettle my “go to.” It heats to boiling so quickly that I learned to not put it on the actual boiling setting. I only set it at midpoint and have boiling water or contents in just 1-2 minutes! It’s faster than a microwave and uses less energy, more versatile than a Keurig, and definitely beats using a stove-top kettle. I wish the cord was retractable or wound around the base, but it’s short and easy to manage so not a big deal. I highly recommend this for home use and it would be perfect to use at the office or in an RV!

This heats up extremely quickly and holds the temperature well.
I bought this for a specific use to melt butter for a yearly corn roast I do for our church congregation. Instead of bringing a propane stove and pot and melt butter in that I wanted something a little easier to deal with. This pot being that it pours really fit the bill. We used this and it worked extremely well at the lowest setting it's still would boil the water in the butter but just barely. It was able to keep the butter hot to be ready when we needed it for the corn. We poured it directly into butter cans then people use brushes in the can to apply the butter. This made our job much easier than carrying all of that extra equipment to the park where we have the roast. I could see how this would work well for just heating up water for tea and keeping the water at the temperature that you want it to be at. It looks nice It was not that expensive and it really worked well for what we used it for.

It is great for boiling Salmon. It was a little hard pouring the fluids I had put in to the pot. I should have may be ate from the electric pot, it may have saved my food money. The fluid would run down the sides of the pot. May be I was just pouring fast. The hot pot had no turn off setting, the pot had a warm and a boil. I would have liked to keep the pot's cord all ways in an out let, so I don't hurt the cord with my pulls. It is such a big bowl I could have left the Salmon on warm and eye it every now and again to add more water, making me pull it less. I was looking for a pot for boiled water and Salmon soup, it does what it says it is going to do, it was made for some one, the times I've had the pot it was worth what I paid. I was not hit with a big smell of Salmon, but the lid has holes so the smell could have been powerful. I had only my self to ask in the choice of words I used, thank you.

It works, but could be improved
It heats quickly and is easy to clean out. It will do, but 2 design issues lost the stars: 1. The power cable is *very* short and it's not removeable. This means use as a kettle is somewhat limited, because even when you have the mug or bowl very close, the cord is so short that you can't tip the pot very well unless it is right next to the outlet. You have to unplug from the outlet each time, and then you have the cord dangling. A longer retractable cord or even a removable cord would be a big improvement. 2. Hot steam comes out of the lid in more then one place, which makes it difficult to remove the lid without getting burned. All vents should be situated in one spot so there's a stem-free angle to grip the lid.
