Hamilton Beach 33240 4-Quart Slow Cooker with 3 Cooking Settings, Dishwasher Safe and Glass Lid, Black

I ordered this item because a taller round slow cooker is more convenient than the usual low oval models. Presumably the original slow cooker was based on a low oval pot which is ideal to fit in an oven and the manufacturers have stayed with convention. I did not notice that it was a 120 V model so changed the plug from north American to UK and used it. The power cord was inconveniently short and was not round as is best for easy cleaning. On setting to warm, there was no indicator to show that it was working. It boiled quickly on the lowest setting so I examined the rating plate and found it was a 120 V model. While packing for return I noticed the pot was not well glazed. There was a small sharp protrusion on the inside and several small round depressions on the base.

This 4 quart crockpot is just the right size for my limited counter space. I like to “batch cook” soups, stews, chili, etc. but don’t want 8 servings. I can still make bone broth from a smaller chicken carcass and use the “warm” feature a lot. Very happy with my purchase. Just be aware that it’s smaller than your “typical” crockpot.

Excellent size for those that don't need a full-sized cooker. Christened it by doing a pot of Boston Baked Beans. Wonderful results & highly recommended.

Hamilton Beach is a good product. I bought a 4 qt but it is the same size as the one I have that's a 3 qt. Never plugged it Returned next day.

Mainly for wings and meatballs. Perfectly sized for either. Cooks fast and well enough.

Good for two one-person meals or one meal for a couple. Simple, without a tons of bells and whistles, but does the job efficiently. Only way to confirm it is working is to touch the sides and feel the warmth, tho, as it does not have a power ON light
