NOT Mygrastick anymore - now MIGRASOOTHE
I loved the Mygrastick, but I couldn’t seem it find it with Amazon Prime anymore. This product was from the same company, so I went ahead and ordered it thinking it was renamed or a newer version. (It seems like this was previously Mygrastick judging from the review names)For the original Mygrastick - I would have given it 5 stars (maybe 4 due to the price point). Yes it was expensive. However, it was a stellar product. The cooling and soothing sensation was very strong. You did have to be careful not to let it near the eyes, but I still loved it.The migrasoothe doesn’t have nearly the same effect. There is some cooling effect, but not with nearly the same efficacy as the original Mygrastick (although it costs less now). I’m not sure if it’s diluted because people complained about the strength of Mygrastick or if the company’s trying to save on costs. Either way, the quality of this product is significantly reduced from the original. If you want a minor cooling sensation, this works. However, I’d much prefer the original Mygrastick. (If the production company is reading this, please contact me if you have any of the original product. I loved it!)

Comparison of doTerra Past Tense and My-Grastick
Since these products (doTerra PastTense and My-Grastick, both purchased on Amazon) are so similar and I have purchased and used both, I thought it might be helpful to do a review comparing the two. As a long-time migraine sufferer (about 57 years now), anything that I can add to my arsenal of helpful migraine products is a good thing. Nothing, of course, cures migraines or takes the place of my meds. But when the meds take too long to kick in, when it's one of those migraines that lasts for days and nothing seems to help... these are both products that can help take the edge off the pain and make it a little more tolerable. It always helps to have something cooling on the back of my neck, and over my eyes, and on my temples when I have a migraine. My preferred go-to has always been an ice pack. But alas, since I work for a living, lying in bed with an ice pack is not always an option. Years ago, my chiropractor introduced me to Biofreeze. I love the product and went thru many tubes of it (there is also a roll-on version.) But both versions, while helpful at home, are too large to easily throw into my purse and have with me when I'm on the go. So I was excited, last year, when somebody introduced me to doTerra PastTense. And then recently I discovered and ordered some My-Grastick, thinking that it seemed a lot less expensive than the doTerra. Both products are similar, using essential oils to provide a tingling, cooling feeling. As it turns out, the two products are pretty similarly priced. DoTerra is $20.35 for a tiny roll-on bottle. My-Grastick is about $7.97. What I didn't realize until I received it is that the My-Grastick bottle is much tinier... 3 ml versus 10 ml for the DoTerra bottle. However, both are tiny enough to easily fit into a pocket or throw into the bottom of my purse and take with me anywhere. Clearly, though, I'll go through the My-Grasticks a lot faster so I'll need more of them. The advantage, though, is that I can buy 3 bottles of My-Grastick for the same price as one bottle of DoTerra... which means I can split them up, leave one in my desk at work, leave one in my purse, leave one next to my bed, etc. That makes it more cost effective if you want to have bottles handy in various places. Both products have a strong odor... and the primarily overwhelming odor of both is a mixture of lavender and peppermint oil... although the doTerra also has some other ingredients (wintergreen, frankincense, cilantro, marjoram, roman chamomile, basil, and rosemary). I don't particularly notice these other odors... mostly, I smell lavender and mint with both products. I know that some migraineurs hate ANY odors so this is a disadvantage for many. The smell doesn't particularly bother me as long as I quickly get that tingly cooling feeling on my head. But the doTerra odor is definitely a lot stronger (although preferable, since I prefer the odor of wintergreen to peppermint)... so I worry that it is going to annoy people around me if I use it when I'm out. The doTerra also seems to have a much stronger tingly sensation, which I like. It seems to work a lot faster and I don't need to use it as often. However, it also is much oilier to put on, and sometimes drips into my eyes which is agonizing (I have to grab a wet cool washcloth to get my eyes to stop stinging). And, since I occasionally use a Cefaly device, I have to remember not to use doTerra too close to using my Cefaly, because the oils definitely interfere with the ability of the Cefaly electrode patch to stick onto my forehead. The My-Grastick just generally seems milder, not as oily and not as smelly (good), but not as intense a tingly feeling (bad), so I seem to need to use more of it more often. There is a time and place for everything, and these are both good products for those times when it just isn't feasible to use an icepack. A cure? No, there is none. And as essential oils, these are both touted to help with relaxation. I find it near impossible to relax when I'm in pain. But both of these products, with their pluses and minuses, do a decent job of bringing my pain level down a notch, which is a good thing. So I am grateful for both, and will keep a supply of both products on hand at all times.

Relaxing
I think customers might be confused about how migrastick works. It does not stop a headache, however, the oils are very cool and soothing and so is the smell. This may help you to relax a bit amidst all the pain. This is my 5th tube. I have one by my bed, in the living room , in my car and in my purse. Works best with your pain medicine and a nap. I roll it across my forehead, an on the side of my temples. It does burn your eyes if you get it too close. Prayers for everyone with migraines. There are no adequate words to explain what we go through.

Great to have on hand
My son likes to have these on hand. It does not prevent migraines or magically make them disappear. What it does, for some, is make it a bit more manageable. He gets mild to very severe migraines frequently, but these can help him sometimes manage the pain to get through work, or just to get through the day. For really severe migraines, it wont do much. Soothing scent, feels cool when applied.

Improves the situation, but doesn't fix it.
This doesn't help when you have a full blown migraine, but it does when there is a slight one.It smells pretty good too which is nice on those days I roll it all over the back of my neck and on the side of my nose that is plugged. I think it does leave your skin a bit red in the more sensitive skin areas, but I worry more about how I feel over how I look so I don't have an issue with this.I should add that I have never used migraine medication and that most of my bad migraines go away with an Advil and a solid amount of sleeping. I have a friend who ends up in hospitals because of migraines. I don't think this product would be of any use for her.

LOVE MYGRASTICK!
I love the MYGRASTICK! It helps stop a headache in its tracks if I apply it when the pain first starts. I roll it at my temples, at the top of my forehead, and at the base of my neck (just under the hairline). It also helps to keep me awake if I am driving. Love this product!I cannot keep enough of these around, as I am always handing it to someone with a headache--and they like it so well that I end up giving it to them! One time I had the flu, and couldn't keep anything down. My head hurt so bad--this took care of the pain when meds would just come back up. It has peppermint and lavender essential oils, along with some other things.

Sweet relief!
It clearly says not recommended for pregnant woman... however, as a pregnant woman I suffer from migraines and I'm unable to reach for my usual medications so this has helped me emensily. It's 100% natural oils so I truly don't feel bad about applying a swipe on my temples when needed. I've only used this when I truly have a severe headache and no other pregnancy friendly remedies have helped and let me say it really does work! It takes a few seconds for the cooling action to occur but when it does... Sweet relief!! My Excedrin has been replaced by this little bottle :)
