VILTA 3-Axis Handheld Stabilizer Gimbal for Phones & Actions Cameras, Black (VILTA-M)

I love this gimbal. It does everything I need it to do and is easy to set up and balance, I've even had my Sony Xperia XA Ultra, which is a large phone, and it balanced it no problem. Unfortunately the buttons on the Sony are a problem so I just use my iPhone with this now.

After a nice consideration, the VILTA-3 , worth the price! You’ll be happy to have it!

Great as long as it works. In my case, this was about two weeks. The fact that you need a separate app just to shoot is a downside (because, at least for Samsung, the original camera app shoots better quality videos and makes better use of the phone hardware). But you can live with it and the stabilization works quite nice. However, in my case the biggest issue was a bug which could not be solved with a fw update: the gimbal would shut down (go limp) as early as a few seconds after startup, even on a full charge and would no longer respond until connected to a power source again. Freevision offered me the option to send it to China for repairs (which would take forever and cost me half as much as a new gimbal). They also asked for a proof of purchase (which would not always work if this were a gift). All in all, I could not rely on this for any future serious projects or a gift.

I researched quite a few gimbles and decided on this one due to price and it was possibly the best on the market. App is good and updates come regularly. Also firmware updates for the hardware have been issued a few times. Which can be annoying if you don't update. Need to use regularly to remember the controls. Also I find I needed to fine tune the movement as the standard can be quick. Down side is you have to balance the phone every time you put your phone in. I think this would be the case for every gimble. I also purchased a small tripod to fit to the bottom. I see others come with this. Mine did receive into the case nicely when unscrewed. Case is nice and fits well and secure.

I have had this product for 3 years and now discover that the app for iPhone has been deleted making the product totally useless. Lesson learnt the hard way I guess.

So far I've only used this item for about a week but so far I'm very happy with my purchase. Initial thoughts were that it was a little larger and heavier than other models on the market but I hope this is down to build quality. I really like the contoured case that is supplied with this item. The battery charged quickly, installing my GoPro Hero 4 was easy (using the supplied sleeve) and there were no issues with calibration. Overall I'm very happy, but I'm not sure the extra weight and other clunky features are justified when paying quite so much for this item.

Thanks to the app being withdrawn from the iOS app store I am now the very disapponted owner of a very expensive and useless piece of kit. DO NOT BUY IF YOU ARE THE OWNER OF AN IPHONE !!!

Used and loved it for a couple of years, but then the locking dial froze so I stopped using it for a while. Have managed to unfreeze it today to find the app no longer on the iOS store, and the app has been "offloaded" from my phone. 100% useless without the Freevision FV Share app :(

Lo utilizzo con gopro4, il prodotto è secondo me affidabile, robusto e si “sente” il valore in mano; oltre al fatto che lo si può utilizzare su un attacco Gopro...a dir poco geniale. Stabilità d’immagine pressoché perfetta, bisogna farci un po’ la mano!!! Il prezzo potrebbe sembrare elevato ma vi assicuro che spendere 100 - 150 euro per un prodotto mediocre non ne vale la pena per il semplice fatto che poi vorrete comprare questo...Ho provato solo le impostazioni predefinite senza settare la funzione più reattiva importabile via app.

Commentaire concernant le Freevision Vilta M pour smartphone. La stabilisation fonctionne très bien. Le stabilisateur est d'une taille peu encombrante et se glisse facilement dans un sac. La construction est très bonne et il n'y a pas le sentiment de plastique bas de gamme, bien au contraire, ça sent la solidité. A confirmer dans le temps bien entendu. Le grip de la poignée permet une très bonne prise en main sans point de pression dérangeant. Pas de lourdeur à l'usage, bonne répartition du poids. Le système permet d'orienter manuellement à tout moment la caméra/téléphone pour rapidement se positionner dans l'axe de ce que l'on souhaite filmer. L'application Freevision permet de filmer et de pouvoir utiliser les boutons de la poignée pour commander l'enregistrement et quelques autres fonctions de réglage vidéo. Néanmoins, cette application n'est pas nécessaire au fonctionnement de la stabilisation, il est donc possible d'utiliser une autre application mobile pour filmer ou même une caméra type GoPro, Xiaomi Yi, ... Avec un smartphone et l'application Freevision, le tracking est très correcte. Il perd de temps en temps le sujet dans des cas de faible luminosité. Je ne doute pas que cette fonction va s'améliorer avec les mises à jours de l'app mobile. A noter que l'application mobile de Freevision permet des réglages manuels pour la vidéo (ISO, luminosité, balance des blanc, focus, etc ...), un bon point pour obtenir un rendu plus "cinéma". Il est possible de régler une fonction au choix sur un bouton (luminosité ou rotation verticale). Il est dommage qu'il ne soit pas possible de pouvoir choisir un réglage du focus sur ce bouton. Une mise à jour de l'appli pourra facilement combler ce manque .... FreeVision ! SVP :-) L'application Freevision permet de régler la sensibilité du bouton de contrôle manuelle des axes ainsi que la réactivité de la stabilisation. On peut ainsi avoir des mouvements plus ou moins doux en fonction de ce que l'on veut filmer (sport ou balade dans un beau paysage). L'application Freevision est indispensable si vous voulez utiliser les fonctions de type timelapse avec un mouvement de caméra. Ces fonctions sont faciles à mettre en oeuvre, l'app est très bien pensée. Vous choisissez des points de passage pour le mouvement de caméra, vous laissez décider le système du chemin pour relier ces points ou choisissez vous meme le chemin, vous choisissez la durée, la fréquence des photos, "start" et c'est parti. J'utilise le stabilisateur avec un smartphone ou une caméra Xiaomi Yi. Dans le cas de l'utilisation avec une caméra, l'objectif doit être orienté inversement (dos de la caméra vers le support) par rapport à la position d'un smartphone. Au démarrage le stabilisateur se positionne automatiquement pour filmer avec un smartphone. La caméra se retrouve donc tournée vers nous. Comme l'axe de rotation près du manche est sur 360° (réglage horizontale) et qu'il est possible de positionner manuellement la caméra, une fois le stabilisateur démarré, il suffit de retourner complètement la caméra horizontalement (180°) pour positionner la caméra dans le bon sens. Pas besoin d'utiliser un support/convertisseur GoPro comme sur le DJI Osmo mobile par ex. On se retrouve juste avec les commande manuelles verticales inversées par rapport à la position de fonctionnement normale (avec un smartphone). Le seul bémol concerne le système de réglage de l'équilibre horizontale qui n'est pas le plus simple à régler. Mais c'est un coup à prendre. J'avais choisi ce stabilisateur après avoir lu de nombreux tests et je ne regrette pas mon choix. Mise à jour : après l'utilisation lors d'un roadtrip de 3 semaines, je suis toujours très satisfait de ce stabilisateur. Je l'ai même utilisé à l'extérieure d'une voiture roulant à 110Km/h en le tenant pour filmer la route. Malgré le vent, l'image est parfaitement stable.

Update: besonders möchte ich den Service der Firma Arktis erwähnen, der als mein Gimbal ein Problem hatte sehr schnell und immer konstruktiv auch auf Whatsapp zur Verfügung stand. Mein Gimbal läuft und mit den letzten App Updates bin ich super zufrieden. ▶︎ Vergleiche und Erfahrungen: Für die GH5 (schwere Cam) hab ich den Feiyutech M3 Lite und wollte für meinen GoPro und mein Handy ebenfalls einen haben der seinen Job gut macht. Bestellt hatte ich mir den - Vimble C (Feiyutech) - Zihyune Smooth Q (V3) Beim Vimble war ich mit den Bewegungen nicht zufrieden, also ging der wieder zurück. Den Smooth Q hätte ich fast behalten, denn der hat glatte Bewegungen und machte eine ordentliche Figur. Leider war die App etwas instabil. Kurz nach meiner Bestellung gab DJI bekannt, dass sie den baugleichen DJI Mobile 2 herausbringen wollen. Da DJI die Software gut im Griff hat und ich auch einen DJI QuadCopter habe, war für mich die Entscheidung zu Gunsten DJI gefallen. Das Bedienkonzept des Smooth Q hatte mir leider nicht so gut gefallen (nur ein Button, man muss zigfach drücken und verliert dadurch irgendwann die Übersicht in welchem Modus man sich befindet). Den Aspekt hat Zihyune beim Smooth Q4 bestimmt deutlich verbessert, denn da gibt es mittlerweile mehr Einstellmöglichkeiten. Zurück zum Freevision... bevor der DJI Mobile 2 dann wirklich raus kam, lief mir aber der Freevision M3 über den Weg zu dem leider nur wenige Videos im Netz waren - die waren aber sehr gut. Das Bedienkonzept (Pistolenknopf + Joystick + 2 Buttons) hat mir sehr gut gefallen und die App machte einen aufgeräumten Eindruck. ... und so kam der Freevision zu mir. ▶︎ Gimbal Performance Bewegungen super glatt Bedienkonzept mit dem Pistolengriff wirklich einfach UND was ich super genial finde (was mir beim Movi im Promo Video gefallen hat, dass man die Aufnahmen rotieren kann). Sieht sehr Cine like aus. Die Entwickler haben sogar meinen Ratschlag umgesetzt, dass man die virtuellen Anschläge bei der Rotation weg lässt (war vorher nur auf +/- 45° begrenzt und ist jetzt im POV Modus komplett frei und die Rotation wird ebenfalls geglättet - phantastisch) Der POV Modus wurde ebenfalls verbessert, so dass man damit geniale Aufnahmen machen kann. ▶︎ Das Besondere - Die App und Firmware Updates: Die App wird regelmäßig und damit meine ich wirklich alle 2 Wochen aktualisiert und erhält neue oder verbesserte Funktionen. Der Tracking Modus ist mittlerweile sehr gut geworden. Überhaupt bietet die App sehr viele Funktionen, von Motion Timelaps über Panorama, dem genialen POV Modus bis hin zu manuellen Einstellungen alles was man so braucht. Bisher hab ich 2 Firmware Updates bekommen und die Performance des Freevision wurde, insbesondere im POV Modus mit der letzten Version noch besser (driftet nun überhaupt nicht mehr weg, fast egal wie man das Ding trietzt) Aktuell warte ich noch auf die Panorama Updates, in denen entweder von links oder von rechts angefangen werden kann. Das hat etwas mit der automatischen Belichtung zu tun. Wenn man da anfängt wo die Sonne ist, dann werden die Aufnahmen falsch belichtet oder funktionieren nicht. Das steht derzeit für mich noch aus. ▶︎ Für Handy Super - für GoPro naja Der GoPro (Version 5 bei mir) lässt sich prinzipiell auf dem Freevision M3 installieren und das Gewicht wird vom Gimbal gut gestemmt. Leider ist beim Weitwinkel der vordere Motor im Weg - da würde ich mir eine Software Korrektur in der App wünschen, wo der Motor nach oben weg geschwenkt wird, da er sonst im Bild ist. Bei kleineren Bildwinkeln gehts - oder man montiert den GoPro verkehrt herum drauf und nutzt den Selfie Modus - geht auch, aber eben etwas umständlich. Da der FreeVision für Handy beworben wird, vergeb ich die volle Punktzahl. Die Nutzung mit dem GoPro wär aber natürlich noch das Sahnehäubchen gewesen... um mit einem breiten Grinsen ganz zufrieden herumlaufen zu können. ◉ Fazit: Wer einen Gimbal sucht, der ein gut durchdachtes Bedienkonzept, tolle Performance und einen Appsupport hat der sich sehen lassen kann. Dem kann ich den Gimbal für das Handy super empfehlen. Für GoPro gibts bestimmt bessere (auch von der gleichen Firma), den hab ich aber bisher nicht getest. 👍 Wenn Ihnen meine Rezension geholfen hat, dann würde ich mich über eine Bewertung sehr freuen. I have been using zhiyun rider-m for 2 years, rider-m's stabilization was also great for a wearable gimbal. However, rider-m doesn't build with joystick on it, it wasn't easy to control the angle when using rider-m. Luckily I found Vilta-G. It just includes all the functionalities that I imagined about how a dream gimbal should be. 1. It's wearable, I can mount it on my capture pro when I'm cycling. (this is the only function that rider-m also did) 2. It has joystick to control the angle, 3. battery handle that can extend gopro's and its battery life. 4. I can connect the gimbal to my gopro and work as a smart remote of gopro, so when I'm using this gimbal, I can control the gopro without touching it directly touching it. 5. The trigger on the gimbal handle, apart from changing the shooting mode, It can turn 180 degree from taking the front view to selfie by double tapping the trigger. This is very important since I like taking vlog videos. 6. I appreciate its locking system that it doesn't use 2 screws to hold the gopro on it. Its locking system is much faster to install and release gopro on it comparing with zhiyun and feiyu traditional design. The only cons is that it doesn't come with the power adaptor, you have to buy it separately. Fortunately the power adaptor is not expensive, I ordered together with the gimbal. If you are using gopro hero 5 or above, don't hesitate to add the power adaptor to your cart. This is a great all-round gimbal for gopro. In terms of cost and performance, I think I can say it's perfect to me. I highly recommend people who owns a gopro to choose vilta-g.
