The colors are awesome and they write so smoothly! Definitely a good buy and price!! I keep a journal so these are perfect.

These pins have vibrant colors and write very smoothly. They have a comfortable grip and they do not smear.

These metallic gel pens are pretty on white paper, are a bit scratchy to write with, and are advertised to write on black paper. They look great on white paper, but they are not as vibrant on black paper as I was expecting. I've uploaded a photo of my experience. I also bought a 36 pack of Paper Mate pens, and used a black one to write the description of what type of pens I was using on the white paper. Functionally, the metallics don't write as smoothly as I would have expected. Hopefully, you can see in my example that the metallic ink has a trail through it as it writes. I didn't buy these for myself, though. They are for my 10 year old for a variety of things in school. She likely won't notice the things that I notice when writing and doodling. I believe she will most likely use these for decorating or doodling, so she will have more time to use them and not be as frustrated as one might be if they tried to use these for work, or dictation, under a time crunch. She likes them, so I would say that these are a good value for my money. As with any gel pen, if you don't use them in a timely manner after removing the wax protective tip, then they do dry out and become less reliable.

I love the ink in these pens. It’s very opaque and beautiful colors. My biggest issue is it doesn’t always write super smooth. If you’re writing continually it works better but if you’re using it as you’re working and might go a minute or two without using it the ink takes a moment to get going good again. And sometimes as you’re writing it might get scratchy. If they could get these to write smooth like the pentel energels these would likely be my new every day go to pen! The blues are AMAZING. As annoying as the scratchiness is I’ll probably purchase again unless I find a smoother pen with the same colors.

These pens work great! I love the metallic colors. They are currently being used to tag Christmas gifts..yes I start early wrapping. I haven’t had any smudges but I don’t run my hand/fingers over the ink. I am right handed so my hand never drags across the ink while writing either. These may have cost less purchasing in store but I’m not sure; I did purchase other Paper Mate Inkjoy gel pens for almost half the price of a big chain store office store. They write smoothly.

I absolutely love ink joy pens!!

I want to love these pens but they have terrible ink quality. Very temperamental and rarely write smoothly if at all after the first use. I store them horizontally and they still skip or completely stop writing all together. I’ve taken every single one apart TWICE and put in hot water and they’ll write well for a day or two and then back to issues. I was hoping I just had a bad “batch” so I purchased 2 separate packs of these, one from Amazon and one from Target and have had the same issues with both sets. When they do work, they are all great on black paper. I was surprised at the shade of the yellow ans green not being “bright” but rather what I would call like a “muted/muddy” color. The Teal, Blue and Pink are beautiful though, when they actually write. Yellow is hard to see on white paper, but the others show up well. EDIT - 2 days later and only the blue works but it’s skipping a lot. All the others are as if they ran out of ink but they all still have plenty.

The injoy gel pens are my favourite and the only pens I buy, I have many sets ( probably too many) and most work very well. However these Paper mate ink joy gel "Metallic" are not my favourite , the colours are very nice but out of the 10 pens, the purple ( dark and light) hardly write at all, I have tried different types of paper and there is no difference. These were more expensive than my other pens but the writing quality is subpar. If I didn't like the other colours I would return them.

Absolutely love the colours! I’m a pen lover and have quite a collection, and these quickly became a favourite. The colours are vibrant and original, making them perfect for journaling, note-taking, or adding a creative touch to everyday writing. The ink flows smoothly without skipping, and the pens glide effortlessly across the page, which makes writing feel easy and enjoyable. If you enjoy writing with unique, eye-catching colours, these are an excellent choice. They are a bit pricey, though.

They are really nice, but a few don't write that well. They were a little disappointing for me, but the colours that do work are very pretty
