This is a solid hitch at a great value. It’s a got a great texture powder coating. I like the fact that it’s a solid ball. The size is a great height for stock lift on full sized trucks. It is rated for what most ½ ton trucks can pull. Adjusting the height on it is very quick and easy; however, it does leave it exposed for someone to just take the ball of the hitch. The height adjustment is a common one so someone could theoretically take it and use it. That is less common on some of the other types that are out there. I wish that it came with a lock for one of the retaining pins, but overall, I think it’s a worthwhile hitch at a great value.,

My husband has been using this drop hitch adjustable tow hitch for several weeks. He mows lawn for a couple friends & another place, so this hitch comes in handy for the van/trailer he pulls the mowers with. He says it's a good strong hitch. My husband is an 80 year old man who has towed many, many things over the years, using different size ball hitches etc.

We will use this adjustable hitch receiver on our Side by Side, but Not on our tractor, as the gauge thickness isn’t as robust as our named brand hitch receivers and not in the specification images and below what the Tow ball ratings are spec’d to handle. The shank is 1/4” gauge tubular steel as compared to our others made with 5/16”.

This hitch eliminates the need for several drawbars and hitch ball combinations because it has three different-sized hitch balls welded to the ball mount, so attaching/removing balls and having multiple drawbar heights is not needed.The welds are good - but not perfect. There are gaps in some of the welds - but purely cosmetic and shouldn't affect performance. The matte powdercoat finish on the steel parts is a smooth, light texture, but there is weld spatter underneath the coating - poor final prep before powder coat. The manufacturer should have quickly gone over the entire hitch with a flap-wheel or course buffer to remove any slag and spatter prior to powder coat.The drawbar has two hitch pin holes to adjust how far the drawbar can be mounted into the receiver. This feature allows room to mount our rock-tamer mudflap system on the drawbar.The ball mount is a hollow square tube with the balls welded on. The dual pin holes are precision cut, and provide a secure fit into the drawbar channel. With the pinning holes in the drawbar drilled 1" apart, the ball mount can be set to the precise height needed for nearly any drop/rise application.There are two chrome-plated pins with hitch clips included to secure the ball mount - this does make it cumbersome to adjust ball height. And it would be easy for thieves to disconnect the ball mount from the drawbar. Including another locking pin to secure the ball mount would make it more secure.Speaking of the locking pin, the one included with this hitch is chrome-plated steel, with a unique brass barrel-style lock. The robust keys are machined with the tumbler lobes milled into the face instead of along the edge profile like a normal key. This unique key lock makes it harder to pick. Three keys are included, but there are no markings on them, or the lock, so it's unclear whether new keys like this could be made by a specialty locksmith, or reordered from the manufacturer. There is an email address, and 800 number for customer service, which is promising if issues ever cropped up.Overall, this is a well made hitch that can replace a multitude of draw bars and hitch balls, and makes swapping hitches between different vehicles easy.PROS:- Good workmanship, precision parts- Powder coated finish vs paint- All hitch pins and a locking pin included- Welded hitch balls, no need to attach/remove them- 3 year factory warrantyCONS:- Some weld spatter underneath powdercoating- Could have included another locking pin to attach ball mount for added security
