The customer service team had exceptional customer service. I originally gave this drone a 2 star review because the camera did not come with a stabilizer. I need the stabilizer to be able to capture the footage I need for my edited videos. They quickly gave me different recommendations for drones that do have that feature and allowed me to exchange for the one I needed. This drone is perfect for a beginner flyer that doesn’t care too much about the video quality. It’ll get your footage and pictures you want but, they do come out a little shakey. Some people wouldn’t even care about it. The app itself was very easy to use. There was some minor bugs and freezing but nothing that would stop me from continuing to use it. When you select the auto return home button, the drone comes back fantastic and lands soft but, it crashes and freezes the app and requires a restart of controller, app and phone. It didn’t bother me much because I would restart all and fly again. But this only happened when using return home so I ended up bringing drone back manually and landing manually and that fixes it. Also this drone is actually extremely stabile in the wind. I had it out in pretty windy conditions and it did really well. The video quality lacked because of the wind and no stabilization but overall good drones. For the price you really can’t beat it and with their customer service I would buy these again just because of that alone. Thank you Ruko

This is a great little drone! It's super light and portable - it comes with a nice pouch that fits the drone, the controller, and extra batteries. Since it is super light, each battery lasts around 30 minutes of flight. The Ruko app is easy to use and the controller works with any Android/iPhone. This is a perfect entry-level device - it lets you get familiar with the controls, it has a great range, and it comes back to where it took off, so you don't have to worry about losing it if you lose signal or if the battery runs low - it will just come back and land right beside you if there's any issue. The drone has 3 modes - cinematic, normal, and sport. Since this model doesn't have a gimbal, the cinematic mode is not particularly useful, since this drone is great for taking still pictures and not videos. The sport mode makes it super quick and responsive. I'm not sure how fast it can go, but it is FAST! The Ruko drones have a fantastic range and if there's no trees or buildings obstructing the signal, you can control it from up to 2 miles away, which is mind-blowing! You can use the app to take real-time pics and videos that are saved directly to your phone or you can just stick in a microSD card to make sure you save the best possible quality footage of your flight. The controls are easy and intuitive and I'm using this drone to familiarize my 9-year old daughter to control it with her own phone, since she's always jealous when I fly my F11GIM2 Ruko drone on our holidays. Now we can fly together and share the experiences with my kid without her taking over my toy! What's even better than the drone itself is the customer service, which is very quick and responsive, no matter what your issue might be. Getting into a new territory of devices, such as a drone, may be intimidating, but the experience with professional assistance from Ruko, using their products is easy, and reassuring that any issue you may face with this drone will be investigated by their team. Great props to Ruko for making aviation available to everyone at low cost, and even bigger props for making sure your experience is top-notch. This drone is bad ass. I've gone through 4 drones from different manufacturers in the last 6 months and none of them compare to my ruko. It is the most user friendly drone I have seen yet. Straight out of the box it is ready to use. The battery life is great. Over 30 minutes of flight time and it came with 3 batteries so over 90 minutes of flight time per outing. The only thing that It doesn't have that I wish it did is obstacle avoidance. Other then that it's great. It flies great even in the wind. Customer support is also great. I crashed my drone into a tree and it took a little fall and would not connect anymore. I called them up and they got me a replacement out right away. All and all I have nothing bad to say about my ruko drone and would and do recommend it to anyone in the market for a great drone for a great price.

Excellent value. As a professional arborist, I use it to get an aerial view of the tree canopy and am impressed with the amount of technology contained in this modestly priced drone. The camera quality is good, although the zoom feature was not. It was easy to fly for a beginner, but definitely has a learning curve. I highly recommend reading the instructions. It is also remarkably durable as demonstrated by several mishaps. Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'. In areas with obstacles (trees, buildings, etc.) the flight distance is much less than advertised, but would probably be much better in an open space. My only issue was with the batteries which I found to be very temperamental. All three failed. The first one was my fault, but the others were carefully used according to the directions and still failed. However, the Ruko response team quickly resolved the issue by sending two new batteries. I am not sure if they will last, but I appreciate their response and expect the bugs will eventually be worked out.

Having owned and flown the Ruko F11PRO drone for awhile, I was interested in using and reviewing the newer, smaller model, the U11MINI. Overall, and just like my experience with the F11PRO, the U11MINI was exceptional – both in terms of ease of use and startup as well as flying experience. I actually like the U11MINI slightly more than the F11PRO for several reasons: 1. Drone weight: The extreme lightness of the U11MINI (less than 10 oz) eliminates the need for any FAA registration. For a casual and occasional drone flyer like myself, this was a nice convenience; 2. The remote control: There were several aspects of the U11MINI controller that won me over versus the F11PRO controller: 1) the U11MINI controller is easier to hold/handle. There are no hand “levers” to pull down; 2) the controller is much more “button intuitive” – there are less on it for one thing and what are there are easily marked and remembered; 3) a cardboard template overlay for the controller also helps during the learning process; 4) the actual mechanism to hold the smart phone is so much better, as it actually expands enough to grip the phone. I have an older iPhone and it’s not even the larger size and it never was able to be safely held in the F11PRO controller, not so with the U11MINI; 5) no more Wi-Fi needed for the phone to controller connection – this is a big positive step. The phone connects with a small data cable (several are provided based on your phone connection requirements). I liked this so much more than messing around with Wi-Fi. One caveat however: there are two – almost identical cable connection ports on the controller. For the longest time I couldn’t get the phone app to display drone information - turns out I had connected the cable to the wrong controller port – and nothing in the documentation ensures use of the right port. Just to take a note here to be cautious to connect correctly. 3. Less steps in pre-launch preparation: With the new U11MINI, the connection between the remote controller and the drone happens upon power-up of each, albeit it takes about a minute for such. But coupled with easier and more intuitive lighting on the remote, it’s easy to tell when the connection has been made. The lighting displays also easily shows when GPS connection has been completed – as does the Ruko App. And the App indicates whether or not calibration is needed, prompting for such. 4. Better camera: I think the 4K camera in the U11MINI either is – or looks – better than with the F11PRO camera. One aspect that continues however, is that you need to bring your own SD-CARD for any video/picture captures. For the price of an SD-CARD and to provide the full experience out of the box, I’d recommend including an SD-CARD in the purchase and just raise the price to cover such accordingly. 5. More Precise Flying: While I haven’t done enough with flying using GPS waypoints or self-recognition or pre-planned flight maps, I can say that the U11MINI seems to be slightly more precise (and easier) in its’ flight control and abilities. I was able to launch it easily and safely in my backyard and control it with precision to avoid any obstacles. Overall, I give Ruko points for a MINI model that actually has improvements over the PRO series, and yet the PRO remains a stellar choice as well. At the price point of retail, I would offer up that the U11MINI is a great, safe, and feature-packed drone for beginners and pilots alike! It’s a lot of fun in a small package and really has no major shortcomings. Buy and Fly!

This is an incredible drone, especially at this price range. It is fun and easy to fly, and the 4k video is really high quality. Their customer support was also very helpful and responded to my questions promptly. Highly recommend.

I hardly ever write reviews, and mostly believe those who consistently do only find problems to nitpick at. I bought this drone for a project I need to survey some land and during the few times I've tested it it has worked without any issue. During a random spur of the moment trip this evening to catch a glimpse of where I work with the sun setting I sent the drone up, surveyed the area and sent it around another building, during this trip I experienced the only glitch I've had and the drone "returned to home" the screen display was frozen and I did not see the drone return, but upon finding it, it had crashed into the building and sustained some damage. Well Joyce from Ruko support responded to my message very late on a Sunday night and I could not be anymore impressed with a company and their support than I currently am with helping me solve the predicament I find myself in. The drone itself was very easy to learn to use, conmected quickly to the remote/my phone and provides one of the longer flight times I've found of any drone for any dollar amount. Needless to say I am incredibly impressed with the product and even more so with the company.

The Ruko U11Mini 4K was a present for my 12 year old son. It is very easy to use although the thickness of the manual was definitely scary :). The images it takes are absolutely amazing and it was able to hold its position incredible well in some windy conditions. The drone was very intuitive to use and we had a blast on our first outing. We purchased the kit that came with three batteries and upon receipt one of the batteries didn’t work (wouldn’t charge). Reached out to the company and they responded the same day with an offer to send a replacement battery immediately at their cost. Incredible quick and helpful customer service!! Looking forward to many more days flying the drone and capturing our outdoor adventures!
