Asus DVD-RW Bulk Drive (DRW-24F1ST, S-ATA, DVDR: 24x, CD-R: 48x, E-Green, Disc Encryption II)

Not expensive, works fine. Somewhat noisy at full speed. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for an inexpensive DVD writer/reader.

I can't fault this product, easy installation and works like a dream, great value for money, the one I bought came exceptionally well wrapped and delivered on time, buy with confidence, installed on a pc running w7.

Very good but takes a while to load the CD when importing into ITunes. It came decently packaged but without an official box just cardboard wrapped around securely. It’s not flimsy like other brands and feels sturdy. Would recommend for anyone who needs it to transfer music over to their IPod. I haven’t tested any DVD’s yet. Ps. If you are going to use this as an external drive you have to buy a SATA to USB cable with an external power source 12v. Your welcome :)

Yes, it's bare bones - just the the CD/DVD reader/writer with no fancy box, instructions or unnecessary screws - don't worry, that's all that is needed. Within 10 minutes of being dropped at my doorstep I had the old one out and new one in and 5 minutes later I had it up and running with no problems. Perfect for me.

Great value and has been able to read most of my battered CDs, Really quiet.

I mainly use my DVD/CD drive to rip CDs into FLAC files on a PC and my old drive started misreading discs. I bought this internal drive at the same time as an Asus Zen USB external drive. All I can say is the Zen drive will accurately read discs that this one will not and so for me that is the main drive I will now use for my music files.

I have never replaced a cd drive before and I really anticipated problems somewhere along the line. This unbelievably cheap replacement was swapped in 10 minutes, two plugs in the back, 2 screws at each side to secure and that's it done. Tested fine, no software updates or incompatibility issues. I was convinced that out of all the millions of pc towers out there that it would have been a nightmare trying to find the right one. I suppose they are all basically the same.

Como puntos fuertes la marca, el precio y que nunca le voy a pedir lo que no tiene. En el lado contrario, el ruido en lectura, la sensación de debilidad de la bandeja, y poco más. En mi experiencia, estos cacharros tienen una obsolescencia programada bastante decente. De entre 8 y 10 años. A ver si tomamos ejemplo de lo que acaba de pasar en Francia, y les ponemos coto a estas prácticas ;-)

Pleinement satisfait du matériel fournit, fonctionnant parfaitement. Etat neuf mais livré en bulk (quoique précautionneusement emballé dans du plastique bulles) Remplace un lecteur identique qui avait fait sa vie.

Estaba desesperado puesto que necesitaba recuperar unos documentos grabados en un dvd para realizar un trabajo y con dos grabadoras lectoras en mi poder no había manera de leerlos, probé de todo y no hubo manera, limpié los discos con un paño y la lente igual y tampoco, conocía a Asus por que todos los ordenadores que he tenido y el actual son Asus y la calidad es muy elevada y actualiza los drivers en la página, asi que probé a comprar la Asus y la instalé, mi sorpresa fue grande, lee todo lo que se le meta, graba todo lo que me apetezca y funciona de maravilla, estoy muy satisfecho con la compra después de recuperar con éxito los documentos.... Muchas gracias ¡¡ La recomiendo a quien quiera adquirir una grabadora ¡¡ Lo que no entiendo es que Windows, para hacer un disco de reparación pide un dvd y sin grabador no hay manera de hacer un disco de recuperación....
