iSTIM EV-804 TENS/EMS 2 Channel Rechargeable Combo Machine Unit - Muscle Stimulator + Back Pain Relief and Management- 7 modes/24 Programs/Backlit (Including Electrodes Pads)

Love, love, LOVE this little TENS/EMS unit! It's perfect for what ails both me and my hubby. One reason a star got knocked off is that the directions are confusing and it doesn't explain what the symbols mean in a way I was able to understand. Had to watch a few YouTube videos of a chiropractor explaining what width, pulse rate, etc. were. Once I got the gist of it, everything else was very, very simple. I do wish that the electrodes didn't use the pigtail leads and just snapped into place. Hard to push the metal part into the black part of the electrode due to wrist pain, but eventually was able to get the wire to go in. Attaching it to my shoulder where I'm experiencing the most pain was a little bit of gymnastics, but I was able to place the electrodes in the correct spots without assistance. Electrodes stick very well the first and second time, but then start to lose their adhesion ability the third time so had to switch them out for fresh ones. Thankfully the unit came with extra electrodes, and I also ordered a whole bunch extra, too because I know up be going through them quickly. Hubby and I were fighting over who would get to use the machine first on Sunday, lol, so I just went and ordered another one so we can do our treatments at the same time without having to wait on each other to be done. All in all, great little unit. Also showed it to my chiropractor and he says it's a great quality machine and he approved of it, so that's a plus. Very effective for pain and tension relief, love the different programs, and that you can customize the settings if you need something different. There are 12 programs for the TENS portion, and I believe there are like 5 - 10 programs for EMS. I prefer the TENS; EMS is a little bit too forceful for me at this point. I'll have my chiropractor adjust the settings on that part for me. After 1-1/2 months of intense shoulder pain and dealing with lateral Epicondylitis on top of it, I was actually able to sleep most of the way through the night this past weekend!! I was forgetting what actual sleep felt like without pain! Definitely a keeper and I recommend it to anyone who is on the fence about purchasing a unit like this. Best of all, the machine and the electrodes are FSA/HSA eligible, so if you have an account with either, you can just use that to pay for it. A receipt was not delivered with the unit, so I had to go into my orders and print out the invoice for both of my orders in case the IRS questions me about it. It feels so nice not to have to choke down more ibuprofen or naproxen. Those meds were starting to make my stomach hurt due to having to take them regularly. I don't need an ulcer on top of everything else I have going on! Thank you to Istim for making this wonderful unit!

I've owned a sub $30 dollars TENS unit for about a year and it has been fine and a value for the money. I decided to try this unit as it has dials for intensity control, EMS & TENS, and rechargeable. I was immediately impressed by the quality of the electrode pads, they are way nicer and usable/reusable than the ordinary ones I've been using. Operation was fairly straight forward and control of the intensity is so much better with DIALS rather than push buttons. Jury is still out but I think this is going to be a nice upgrade from my previous model. I will update review at a later time.

Absolutely love this device. My back and hip pain was caused by muscle strain and the pain is greatly reduced. The EMS is great for turning muscles back on after an injury and for targetting specific muscles. Not sure what took me so long to try this

Make sure you charge this before using. It took almost 8 hours before the light went from orange to green. At first I was skeptical on how well the item would work. Set up was not very hard and finding the right mode was the kicker. Just make sure when you reach the setting right after ramp 2 you turn down machine. That's when i found the constant mode. All electricity all the time. It's now my favorite setting. The pads are well made and the wiring they give you is not hard to figure out so hooking every thing up was a couple minutes. I also saw a couple you tube videos to get the idea of the machine. I have used the machine and the same pads 4 times. It seems like they might stick well at least 2-3 more times. They do give you 8 pads with the machine. All in all I am impressed with this machine and it feels like I got value for the price. This was a quality purchase.

I purchased an iSTIM EV-804 TENS/EMS in 2021. Loved it worked really well. However, the output has decresed significancy. I tried new quality electrodes and the output is still not the same as it was when I purchased it.

This unit allows user controlled EMS settings (not just TENS, and not just "programs"), however the max width is 300μS (microseconds). Beginner EMS settings for hamstring area muscle injury: Mode S, Use 1 channel - 2 electrodes, Ramp 4 seconds, On 8 seconds, Off 24 seconds, 300μS, 50Hz, 15 minute session duration, 2 inches of skin visible between electrodes, electrodes placed on (along the length of) the injured spot. SEE THE NEXT SENTENCE. ***The intensity level is controlled by a sensitive physical dial on top. FOR BEGINNERS the starting intensity must be less than 2 (out of 10). After feeling the sensation as too weak, raise the intensity only 0.25 (out of 10) at a time.*** For example, if after feeling a contraction you feel that 1.5 is too weak, raise it to 1.75 and wait for the next contraction. Then if you want it stronger raise it to 2, then a contraction, then 2.25, and so on. If you raise it from 1.5 to 4 you may be VERY startled. I am not a therapist or physician.

highly recommend but the pads lose the gal quickly

I've been using TENS EMS devices for years. My old one was thinner and had a touchscreen. I once put it in my back pocket during a trip, and the screen went black. So this time, I got a button-operated device without a touchscreen. I love its color and timer, but you can't set the time in the built-in modes from P1 to P24. The power and effectiveness are great, though the buttons can be a bit unresponsive. Performance This device is fantastic for pain relief. I bought it for my osteoarthritis and use it on my knees before long walks. It's hard to believe such a small machine can output so much power through four electrodes. The belt clip is handy. The black design looks cool and doesn't feel cheap. Unlike other brands, I need extra breathable tape to secure it, but it works really well. Battery Life The battery life is impressive. I've used it for two months, half an hour to an hour each time, and the battery is still strong. The downside is it's not rechargeable. It comes with a 9V battery, but you'll need to buy replacements when it runs out.

Ich bin 52 Jahre alt, und in den letzten Jahren haben Rückenschmerzen und Muskelverspannungen zugenommen – besonders morgens oder nach dem Sport. Nach etwas Recherche bin ich auf das iStim EV-804 gestoßen und wollte es ausprobieren. Ich nutze am häufigsten den EMS-Modus zur Muskelentspannung und gelegentlich TENS zur Linderung von Rückenspannungen. Die Bedienung ist unkompliziert: Kabel anschließen, Pads aufkleben, Programm auswählen und loslegen. Die Intensität lässt sich genau anpassen. Obwohl das Gerät nur zwei Kanäle hat, reicht das für gezielte Anwendungen vollkommen aus. Die Elektrodenpads sind von guter Qualität und haften auch nach mehreren Anwendungen noch gut. Für Männer in meinem Alter, die regelmäßig mit Verspannungen oder leichten Schmerzen zu tun haben, ist dieses Gerät eine tolle, medikamentenfreie Alternative. Klare Empfehlung.
