Time and Effort Saver.
I had planned on tapping into the wires behind the rear view mirror of my Kia Telluride to power my dash cam, but then I came across this adapter. It took about ten minutes to install it and situate the wires just right. Everything fits under the factory cover, with the wire to the dash cam coming out at the neck of the mirror. It works as intended and makes the dash cam much less noticeable. $30 seemed a little steep for what it is (I’ve seen them for $20 elsewhere), but there is an argument to be made that it’s still worth it. This would be pretty easy to make at home if you’re handy, but you’d have to source the USB port and both sides of the correct connector. That’s not to mention the time it would have taken to tap wires that live in an awkward spot. Overall, I’d say it's worth it to buy this instead.

Awesome adapter compatible with Hyundai Palisade and adds a usb plug behind the rear view mirror.
This adapter allows you to very easily add a USB port behind the rearview mirror in the plastic housing of a Hyundai palisade. It took me less than one minute to pop off the cover remove the existing power connection plug this in and replace the cover. If it’s perfectly behind the plastic housing, allowing the USB cable you need to thread down along the rearview mirror mount. It also comes with multiple cables that should match most of your needs. It works very well with no problems and allows my dash cam to turn on and off with the power from the rest of the vehicle. Great value for the money and well worth the investment.

great way to eliminate excess wiring
I didn't install this adapter on my Hyundai, my husband did. He said it was very easy to install, and I'm really pleased that I don't have a long wire running from the bottom to the top of my car anymore (like I did with my old camera) since it plugs directly into the rear view mirror. We both liked the way this worked/looked so well that we purchased another one for his Kia.

Does not fit the 2025 Hyundai Tucson Preferred. It requires a 12-pin adapter, not a 10-pin.
