affordable replacement for Wi-Fi
First part of this is to trash Asus. Bought a vivobook i5 new in the box on clearance (not from Amazon). Figured Asus makes a good motherboard, laptop should be good too. NOPE. First couple of days it was fine, then the touchpad went wonky. started opening windows, magnifying windows, closing them, just all kinds of crazy stuff. So to use it, I bought a cheap wireless mouse. Few weeks later wireless stopped working. Did a bunch of troubleshooting, yep, internal wireless out. Tossed the thing a side and didn't use it. What isn't Asus fault is me being lazy and not sending it in. Life happened and decided to pull it out again to get some use out of the lemon laptop. I purchased the TP-Link AC 1300 usb just to see if I could get it to work. Lets get the stupid out of the way first. Win 11 doesn't have a driver for it, TP-L sends a CD. Guess what doesn't have a CD drive, like most new laptops do. No way to get the driver on unless I cable up and download it. Once I ran a cable across the floor, went to the site and downloaded the driver, the rest was easy. It installed, went right on my network and works fine. Speed is good and haven't had a problem with it. Now I'm just waiting for the USB system in this poorly constructed laptop to fail next and turns this laptop into a boat anchor. Buy this work around for a bad wireless, Do not buy a Asus Vivobook. Did I mention the vivobook has a really weak battery? No, well it stinks too.

Saved my Think Pad laptop
A great little wifi adapter. Everything is working perfectly since replacing my laptops failed internal wifi adapter with the AC1300. Installation was as simple as plugging into a USB Port. All setup took place in the background with no input from me other than providing the password to my network. I immediately noticed my download speeds were much faster than they have been. Checked with speedtest.net and consistently got download speeds of 250 MBPS (thats the limit my ISP puts on me). All in all, this $18.00 investment saved my laptop. Completely satisfied

It works great
My laptop wifi stopped working (would not find any wifi signals) - troubleshooting determined a hardware failure, so rather than start looking for a new laptop, I purchased the TP-Link USB WIfi Adaptor T3U. Plugged it in, Windows 10 recognized it (no need for the CD and Drivers that came with it). I disabled the internal wifi and enabled the new adaptor, did a search, connected to my home wifi just fine. Did a speed test (I have 1G Mps from my provider, modem in my wife's office upstairs, she gets around 790 Mps download wired ethernet speed, but my home office is downstairs, and a wired ethernet connection to a hub in my office with a TP-Link Wireless Nano router afixed. Alas, the ethernet cable is CAT-5 (100 Mps) so the max wired speed I get is about 120 Mps from my office). Wifi speed test with the new TP-Link adaptor is @ 65Mps download 10 Mps upload. Comparable to my desktop computer when using Wifi vs. wired. Quite happy with it..

EASY, CHEAP, & RELIABLE
I got this WiFi adapter back in 2022, and it has worked amazingly! It is super cheap, gets the job done, and kept my ping between 7-16. It is so easy to use and it is super tiny, very surprised how well it has worked over that past few years. Although it seems like it is slowly starting to have some problems. Sometimes I need to unplug and replug it in for it to work now, and it takes a second to connect. For 15 bucks, it was definitely worth every penny! I really like the brand, I’ll definitely will be getting an upgrade sooner than later.

Great Adapter for Win11
Like everyone else, I had an older Win10 system and had to upgrade to Win11. I had an old (over 10 years) LinkSys USB Wireless adapter and couldn't get a Win11 driver for it. After looking over what was available, I chose this one and am very happy with it. This adapter is small (just over an inch long) and is much harder to accidently knock out of the USB slot. Speed tests are giving me faster download speeds that the LinkSys and its internal antenna system is much more current than older USB models. Worked perfectly fine for me.

Works great. Had one hiccup during installation of driver software. This happens if you insert the USB adapter while a Windows update is waiting in the queue. For some reason the installation of the Wifi driver fails. After installing the Windows Update the Wifi Adapter does not show the installer anymore. When this happens copy the installer to a folder on your computer before running the Windows Update. If you forget this step, you can download the installer from the TP-Link website. URL is in the small document that comes with the Wifi Adapter.
