G drive is good overall but this one came having noise and crackling sound so returned!

I own several hard drives including RAID sets. This SanDisk drive has great storage, but it is the loudest and hottest drive I own. The clicking/clacking is intermittent but loud. The drive does not appear to have a fan, and all sides of the metal case get hot. A drive costing over $700 should be of better quality!

always took half a minute to boot up always took a while to index then search for docs kind of noisy, but I didn't mind just out of warranty and it took a crap on me for $1000 USD its not worth it, i shouldn't have strayed from OWC Move along, this isn't built to last and customer support is a joke
