Masterplug OTLP011512G4SL-US Cable Storage Reel, Metallic/Green

I’ll tell you how much a homeowner will find this useful. We rarely drag out the orange cord unless we need it for Christmas decorations or because we need more length. The reel is so awesome as soon as your done it’s reeled back in seconds. Love this for a gift because most people probably don’t know they need it.

This is by far my favorite extension cord! I don't have to deal with the tangled mess of your traditional extension cords. Simply unwind the length you want to use and when you're done, wind it back up! This also has multi-outlet functionality so you can hook up multiple devices to this. It's very compact and easy to use. It's a great buy for the money and definitely worth the investment! It's also lasted me much longer than the traditional cords since the cord is not exposed to tools or other elements that can cut into the cord. Love this!

I love these cord reels. I will definitely continue to purchase these in the future. The first one I bought is 5-6 years old and have had zero issues. Used on a jobsite daily. Makes getting a cord out or putting away very quick and easy. Great quality

I work in data centers, and occasionally find myself using test equipment far from an outlet. This reel is decently built, and has a lot of things going for it. Pro: Manual cord reel- I don't want the reel to break from some mechanical interior issue that I can't fix. Manual wins. 4 power outlets, nicely spaced for large adapters. A light on the unit to indicate power! This is fantastic. The switch is nice, I haven't had a need for it, but it's good to have. Great 3 prong plug in with a hole to easily pull the plug without damaging the cord! This is fantastic for those sockets that have the death-grip on the prongs. I think this will greatly increase the life of this reel. It reels in reasonably smooth and I haven't had any issues with the cable getting tangled. The build is reasonably solid- it's a decent heavy plastic type of material. I wouldn't throw it in my truck or anything, but it's solid enough. Con: When reeling up the cable, I wish there was a better place to hold the reel. As it is now, I hold onto the grey block on the back and spin the knob so the yellow part spins and reels the cable in. It's a bit tough to get a hold of the grey part sometimes. Not awful, but I wish there was a proper handle or some sort of grip. Given it's only 30 ft, it's not like it NEEDS a large handle with the weight of the cord, but I worry I might drop it.

Much better than the cheap plastic hand crank reels. Was concerned about size and how much court it would hold. However it easily stores 100 ft of heavy gauge extension cord. No tangles, or binding. Just plug one end into the wall outlet and start walking. Take the real wherever you need it to go as it feeds effortlessly. Setting it down provides you with four outlets with circuit breaker protection and lighted power switch. When finished just wind the cord back up as you walk back to the wall receptacle. Major improvement over my prior plastic reel! Well made of metal components. Super convenient. Much easier to use. Very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend.
